I love seeing animals, so I go to the Toronto Zoo about once a year. The zoo is spanned across a huge area so there are lots of walking from one animal pavillion to the next. Wear comfortable shoes because you'll be walking for hours. Admission is a bit expensive - $21 for adults, and $13 for a child 4... more

The Toronto Zoo is easy to get to with ample parking. The exhibits are large and well done, (though this means sometimes the animals you most want to see are behind a tree on the very far side of their enclosure). Interesting arrangement according to geography helps the big picture, and includes some other very fascinating displays interactive displays, such... more

The zoo was everything I hoped for and more! The price was great and the design is fantastic! We had such a wonderful learning experience. The right amount of fun and education. The only recommendation I would have would be to supply a greater number of wagons. We arrived fairly early and they were already out. We loved loved loved... more

I have been going to the Toronto Zoo since I was a kid and it really hasn't changed that much. In fact, many of the buildings are showing their age. For example, because of the glare, the grime and the pitted and scratched glass, we could barely see the jaguars even though they were in the center of the enclosure.... more

Hmmm...... I thought I wuld enjoy watching animals, communicate, take pictures.... but I was disappointed. Yes, it was my mistake that I went out to visit the zoo at a scorching, hot day (37* Humidex) and ended up watching NOTHING, either they are under shelter which is not easily visible or being avoided by zoo authorities from heat. Secondly, it... more

Toronto Zoo is an amazing place. Its huge with lots of flora and fauna. 1. Those of you who are not driving. I'll suggest take the TTC rather than paying for a cab. You can get there by taking any train to the Don Mills Subway station. From the station you can take the 85 Sheppard and ask the driver... more

I'll start out this saying that if you want to visit a truly exceptional zoo, go to visit the Calgary Zoo...we were there a year ago (Summer 2008) and were amazed. However, this summer (July 2009) took us to the Toronto Zoo. It was a nice pleasant day with lots of walking and we did enjoy ourselves ... but I... more

Today was Civic Holiday Monday - so it was a very busy day. It was also a very hot day. There were thousands & thousands of people. Viewing the animals was somewhat difficult, but we were patient & eventually got a closer look. If you can, try not to go on a Long weekend in the summer. The Tigers, Lions,... more

It had been years since I was at the Toronto Zoo. I took my 3 1/2 year old there yesterday. Overall we had a nice day and I would recommend it. Overall I found the staff approachable and helpful. A couple times though when I needed to ask where something was they just quickly pointed to something off in the... more

This zoo was one of the worst zoos I have ever visited. For $20 a person and $8 for parking, it should have been a lot better. Everything in the zoo was so spaced out, that we were exhausted after an hour or so and just wanted to leave. The spaces the animals were kept in were also huge, so... more
