I was lucky enough last winter to participate in a half day dog sled tour with Winterdance Dogsled tours in Haliburton. What an incredible experience! This was money well spent. The morning started with a comprehensive instructional session on the duties and responsibilities of participants, followed by a meet and greet with our team of dogs. The guides were knowledgeable,... More

I have to say that most people will absolutely love dogsledding and although we liked it too I felt that this tour could have been GREAT but for it's greediness. If you've ever been horseback riding you know how riding nose-to-tail is lame and makes for a stop-go halting experience and that's what Winterdance is guilty of. You've got so... More

In February, I surprised my boyfriend with the half day (3 hour) trip and we had a great time! From the friendly and professional staff to the gorgeous winter scenery, it was a totally unique experience. You leave wanting a husky of your own. The most fun we've had in the winter to date!

We took a 2 hour trip and would love to go back for the full day experience. What really impressed me about winter dance is that these dogs are really loved. All 150 of them! As the dogs are getting ready to go out you are asked to connect with your team learn their names and give them the affection... More

If you like to try something different then this is definitely for you! My wife and I took a half day tour in mid January and loved it! The booking process was very easy and they even recommended a couple of places nearby for us to stay. The directions to find the base camp are accurate, although there were a... More

This is one of the most exciting winter activities out there. No experience necessary. Winterdance tours is fantastic. Joshua, one of the tours guides, will teach you all you need to know to have one of the best winter experiences of your life. The dogs are pure bred huskies and the friendliest creatures you could ever meet. The excitement the... More

I really enjoyed the tour; all the staff were exceptionally nice and the dogs are very well treated. The booking was easy (I called a few times until I got somebody in person, just to be sure) and the ladies who contacted me to confirm the reservation were so very nice. Here are a few details to help you with... More

This was my very first time dog sledding, I had driven the 3 hours one way all alone, sure there were other places closer to me to go dog sledding but after reading the reviews for winterdance I knew I had to come here to get the perfect experience. I was paired up with the guide so I didn't ride... More

I only have great things to say. It's an amazing experience with amazing staff. All dogs are purebred huskies and have very diverse personalities. You'll get plenty of time with the dogs, and plenty of opportunities to switch between your partners for driving. There are 5 dogs per sled and 2 people per sled (1 driver, 1 passenger) Just so... Just got back from our dog sledding adventure at Winterdance and just had to share our experience. We arrived 15 mins prior to our tour and were greeted by Ryan and other members of Winterdance. After a thorough safety briefing we were off! It was my second trip with winterdance but it was the first time for my husband. It... More
