The last two days we did some skiing on the Haliburton nordic trails. Moosewood was very nice, well marked and well groomed (except the last portion under the hydro towers did not have a track set). Great selection of trails, from hilly (The Glebe) to gently rolling (Moosewoods, Twin Lakes). All trails are through the beautiful Haliburtion Highlands terrain, lots of trees and ponds. Only downside is that grooming can be spotty, so check conditions at the website before you head.

Well groomed trails in a quiet, beautiful setting. Worth the drive out of Peterborough for the exercise and serenity.

We visited the MoosewoodsTrails just northwest of Haliburton on a very cold weekday in January. Only two other cars in the parking lot. Trails were nicely laid out, scenic and well groomed. Pay on the honour system - well worth the $12 fee.
