Lunch on the deck of the Bistro is always wonderful and delicious. Marlene is a terrific hostess. You're always well looked after. The chocolate dessert was amazing and loved the Cobb salad. I always watch in the spring for the new menu. Take your time and enjoy the view of the valley. Be sure to make a reservation. You sit... More

The spectacular view from the Bistro deck/balcony of the Creston Valley bookmarked on the east and west by beautiful mountains is in itself worth the trip to the Skimmerhorn Winery and Vinyard. Notwithstanding the view, the luncheon menu has a variety of items sufficient to satisfy the tastes of a broad spectrum of visitors. The food is well prepared and... More

Passed through Creston, BC which is not know as a hotbed for innovative cuisine. We followed the sign to the Skimmerhorn Winery & Bistro and had an excellent lunch with a very nice bottle of their Kootenay Crush White Wine. We tasted some of the other wines and found them very balanced and tasteful. The appetizer which we selected (... More

We drove over to Creston this summer to check out the wineries and grab some fruit. Skimmerhorn Winery was a pleasant experience, we really enjoyed our tasting (which was free) and purchased several bottle of delicious wine. We were so happy that we found some fantastic wineries in the Kootenays and don't have to travel to the Okanagan for the... More

One of Creston's best kept secrets. Food that is worthy of a five star restaurant on cozy bistro balcony, with a true wine country atmosphere. Then there's the award winning wines. The staff of the tasting bar will have you squared away a wine to compliment your meal. And don't leave without taking the tour, be prepared to get an... More

Visited late in the season so it was quiet and were able to visit with one of the owners. A very nice location (would be great to sit out on the patio in the summer) and very good wine. Well worth a stop.

Driving up to the vineyard you can see all the grapevines to the mountains. this is a beautiful vineyard with a bistro that takes you to Italy. She explains the wines beautifully with each flavor and scent you will experience. This is a must visit on your way through Creston.

We were in Creston for only a couple of days to visit family. While there stopped in at Skimmerhorn. Being middle of the week and early in the season it was pretty quiet but... Great wine (tasting), spectacular setting and very cordial. Definitely will return and spend more time.

My mother recently visited the Creston Valley on her travels to Edmonton and picked up a variety of wines made from the Skimmerhorn Winery. I must say that I was fortunate enough that she was willing to share the Pinot Rose (and that was all!). I thoroughly enjoyed it! It was light and absolutly refreshing! It was delightful! Also, I...
