Walked from Emerald Lake Lodge to the end of the lake and then steeply uphill for about 2 hours through Yoho Pass and up to Yoho Lake. Hard work but well worth it for the peace and quiet when you reach the lake.

Yoho is a gorgeous park. It contains Emerald Lake, Lake O'Hara and Takakkaw falls. All are must sees. You need not stay in Field if you can't get a reservation there. The road to these falls is only accessible from the eastbound carriageway of the Trans-Canada highway, soon after you enter Yoho National Park.
