The heart of cottage country for the Toronto jet set, this is a wonderful lake to gaze and partake in water sports. If you want to see the wealth in the area, just cruise on the lake and marvel at the "cottages" - more like palaces in many cases.

Such a beautiful view, especially during sun rise and sun set! The wind dies down and you can sit at the edge of a dock pretty much anywhere and sip on your favourite 'sun-downer' ! Enjoy this beautiful landscape where paintings appear before your eyes!

The lake is a very beautiful place to canoe, fish, boat, with lots of resorts and cottages on both sides of the lake. The scenery is fantastic! You can escape from the city and enjoy the beauties of nature out in the lake.

Yes you can see it by land but you need to rent a boat and really see the magic. As a teen I use to wind surf the area and be amazed by all the beautiful cottages I would see. So, drive up there and rent a boat and get your eyes ready!

This is a place anyone should see before they leave this planet. It is without doubt one of the most beautiful places on earth. Add to that fun things to do, first class hotels and restaurants.... fishing, skiing, boating, you name it.

Beautiful scenery. The day was hot and sunny which provided us with a great panoramic view. A wonderful experience.

We rented a cottage in Bala and had a blast with all of the nearby towns to go shopping in. Water was clear and refreshing and no seaweed. Amazingly deep water (300ft+), if you are going fishing bring lots of line! We rented a boat and travelled the locks in Port Carling to Lake Joseph, Mirror Lake, Indian River, Lake... More

Having moved away from Canada 25 years ago, I always appreciate coming "up North" to experience the nature and beauty of central Ontario. Definitely worth taking some time here to unwind and enjoy the gorgeous deep blues and greens of summer.

Lake Muskoka is definitely beautiful and offers some great boating. But if you're on the lake boating, be prepared for some pretty rude boaters that are more concerned with speed than following the rules of the water. I recently went kayaking with my family of the lake. Motor boats roared by us many times creating huge wakes that swamped our... More
