This is a trip that must be on your itinerary when you visit Luneburg. The captain and crew are very friendly and knowledgable and try to ensure that everyone on board has an great time. If you like being involved they will let you help with raising and lowering the sails and also allow you to helm the yacht. Make... More

First impressions were of a beautiful 3 masted schooner in Lunenburg harbour. We were welcomed by the skipper and friendly crew. Our trip of approximately 2 and a half hours was one of the most peaceful experiences ever on water. Very interested to learn about the workings of a sailing boat. The crew were very informative about the coastline and... More

We went on the Eastern Star for a sail boat cruise in the evening. The kids had a chance to turn on switches, hoist the sails and steer the boat. On of their highlights was going downstairs and seeing the galley and bedroom. It was a beautiful night. We saw porpoises from a distance and deer on land. The captain... More

Suggested by out Inn keeper this was one of the highlights of our stay. We struck an excellent late afternoon time that provide brilliant views of the harbour, good wind to fill the sails and a informative couple of hours on the sea. Our Captain and 1st mate were excellent. Lots of info, fun and great with all the folks... More

This two-hour tour delivered for a few from the region and visitors from Alberta. Great staff, beautiful boat, and a wonderful sail in the breeze. The booking agent and crew were welcoming and informative with lots of easy chat about their boat, the local area and history on sights along the way. They let participants help out and our 14-year-old... More

We spent two wonderful hours sailing with this company today - what a great way to see Lunenburg and its harbour! The captain and skipper were fabulous with kids, involving them in many of the activities such as steering and working the masts. We would definitely do this tour again.

We have got to over 55 and never been on a sail boat before and this was the very best. It's obviously weather dependent to a certain extent and we were very lucky. However the crew were friendly and knowledgable with just enough but not too much H and S information. It was thrilling to take the helm even for... More

We tried to go sailing in the Halifax Harbor, but there was no wind when we went, so it left something to be desired. When we arrived in Lunenburg, we lucked out and there was a 2 hour sailing tour on the Eastern Star leaving so we jumped at the chance! It was windy and amazing! The crew were fantastic... More

We were lucky, on a sunny and relatively calm day, to get just enough wind for some quiet sailing. The crew was exceptionally cheerful and relaxed. The kids and adults loved being able to help out with the wheel and the sails. The Eastern Star was looking good, it just felt great to be aboard, in no rush to get... More
