Loved the views of the shoreline, and the guide was knowledgeable. He was a seasoned local that knew everyone and everything, not some student reciting facts. Unfortunately we didn't see any whales (and the guide was genuinely sorry about that), but it's unreasonable to expect a guarantee. Still worth doing.

Really bad. Wish we had checked this before we went, $60 each no whales yesterday or on our trip, then they still send the afternoon boat out after ours without any warning that we won't see whales. Do not go on this, people should not be able to get away with ruling tourists off when clearly they don't ever see... More

On the website it states they have four whale tours a day til October 31. We called while in New Brunswick and were told they cut the tours down to two a day we were also informed that they have been seeing minke fin whales tunas seals and harbor porposies. We made the almost five hour drive there and stayed... More

If you want to spend 3 hours out in the ocean on rocky waters, this is the trip for you! I've gone on this tour three times and have never seen a whale (despite being told the tour before us had JUST seen a whale today... which I highly doubt). The only wild life I have seen are seals, and... More

We took this tour in August and still had a pretty good time despite not seeing any whales. Being out on the ocean was very nice and seeing Lunenburg from that perspective was cool. We saw a few seals and lots of birds (including puffins). The guides had some good knowledge and shared it with us during the tour about... More

Our experience was a great boat tour. Guides were informative, it was also a foggy day but we were able to see the town, some seals, fairly close, puffins and other birds, caves. Dolphin like thing at beginning but also was not pointed out. No wales were seen and I agree, nothing said on arrival, seriously disappointed 10 year old.... More

I agree that seeing whales entails a little bit of luck, but previous tours that I've been on have used intelligence/communication with other groups to increase the odds. The leader of the tour said they saw whales 60% of the time, which I suspect means 50%. Pretty expensive for 50/50. I've since talked with some locals, who said other tours... More

We saw no whales, only a few seals and puffins (bring some heavy duty binoculars). We got wet from all the waves. They could have warned us to move our bags or they would get soaked (and disgusting) from sea water. Pretty much a waste of time and money.

We took this tour at the beginning of July. They still ran the trip and took our money despite the fact that it was extremely foggy out on the water. I would have expected experienced boatmen to have known what the conditions were. It was very hard to hear any of the commentary as they did not use any sort... More

We have been on several whale-watching cruises and this, by far, was the worst. We didn't do our homework and should have paid more attention to the bad reviews; they are accurate. We recognize that spotting whales is a matter of luck and we wouldn't have been nearly as annoyed not seeing any if the woman in the office hadn't... More
