I just got back from the trip about two hours ago. First of all they made us wait an hour after the scheduled time of 2:30 because their earlier your left late so myself and the other guests waited on the decks for an hour There is no guarantee that you will see whales and while we saw a few... We spent about $160.00 CDN (for 2 adults and 1 child) to take the 3 hour whale-watching tour. There were 31 passengers plus the crew crowded onto the small, outdated, charmless boat. The "harbor tour" was brief, spare, and not very informative. And we got only the slightest, 15-second glimpse of one minke whale, which a passenger--not a crew member--spotted.... More

Went out on the boat for an hour and all we saw was a seagull! No whales. No fish. No turtles. No seals. Saw nothing that was mentioned on their flyer. Avoid this tourist trap!

These folks were great! The booking agent was funny and friendly, the ride was a blast, but the whales were not cooperating. We saw a half dozen spouts/fins, but they can be elusive. Just be aware the ticket does not guarantee a viewing! Enjoy the ride!

If you are hoping for whales, probably avoid this one. We had a beautiful day, a nice jaunt around the Lunenburg Harbor, then a ride out past cross and pearl islands. Saw sun fish, puffins, razorbills, cormorants and a few sailboats in action. But no whales.

Lunenburg is a wonderful little place and the guides a good job of teaching you about the history. We even got a close look at the bluenose as she sailed! My kids loved the experience - the skipper let my son steer the boat for a while and now he's set on going to sea when he's older... Overall a... More

While it was an nice boat cruise through very choppy water, there were certainly no whales, we saw a couple of seals dosing on an small patch of rock Price was ok as we were offered our child for free to participate, so a nice breezy afternoon but no whales ( and they could have offered at least some water... We took this trip as we were told it went to Pearl Island to see the puffins, etc., as well as hopefully some whales. He rushed out to Pearl Island, stayed for two minutes, asked if we had what we wanted so he could go now where he wanted to go. The night before, I was specifically told this trip... More

I was visiting NS from Ontario. We missed out on whale watching twice in Cape Breton due to weather so Lunenberg was my last chance. Nice long ride, knowledgeable guides, 4 sunfish, lots of puffins and other seabirds, seals...no whales though.
