Well the trip out to search for whales and puffins was fine, we were not fortunate enough to see whales and Buffins are to small to see unless extremely close. We did see seals but we're not given enough time at this site to enjoy them and take a few photos. We were lucky enough to see the Bluenose ship... More

Things started well, as the guide gave an engaging historical view of the Lunenburg Harbour and its various buildings, ships, etc. Credit where credit is due. However, when we got out into the open seas, things went downhill. First, we saw zero whales from any distance. The only wildlife we saw were a few seals poking their heads out of... More

I am partially at fault for trying this whale watching tour. While getting tickets we asked the girl behind the counter when was the last whale sighting and she was beating around the bush and didn't answer the question. That should have been my clue to back away. The captain and crew were friendly and sort of told us while... More

This is fine for a sightseeing/ocean tour but not for whale watching! The lady at the desk told the people in front of us that whale season is all year round however, AFTER we got onto the boat the captain told us that whale season was over and we probably wouldn't see anything. All we did was go over huge... More

We were in Lunenburg for a short stay. We considered taking the whale watching tour. Upon speaking with Linda and her hearing that we were headed to the Digby area, she was honest and told us that we were not guaranteed to see whales in Lunenburg as their season was nearing its end but that we should hold out and... The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable but we were so far from the whales that if you blinked, you wouldn't see much of anything. I'm glad that we saw a few whales but was disappointed because they were so far away.

I just got back from the trip about two hours ago. First of all they made us wait an hour after the scheduled time of 2:30 because their earlier your left late so myself and the other guests waited on the decks for an hour There is no guarantee that you will see whales and while we saw a few... We spent about $160.00 CDN (for 2 adults and 1 child) to take the 3 hour whale-watching tour. There were 31 passengers plus the crew crowded onto the small, outdated, charmless boat. The "harbor tour" was brief, spare, and not very informative. And we got only the slightest, 15-second glimpse of one minke whale, which a passenger--not a crew member--spotted.... More

Went out on the boat for an hour and all we saw was a seagull! No whales. No fish. No turtles. No seals. Saw nothing that was mentioned on their flyer. Avoid this tourist trap!

These folks were great! The booking agent was funny and friendly, the ride was a blast, but the whales were not cooperating. We saw a half dozen spouts/fins, but they can be elusive. Just be aware the ticket does not guarantee a viewing! Enjoy the ride!
