The weather for our scheduled morning trip was grim, but Karl (the owner) was flexible enough to reschedule for early afternoon. It turned out to be a stunningly beautiful tour of the Blue Rocks with a smart, witty, charming guide --that would be Karl-- to show us things we've never seen. It was one of the highlights of a week... More

This was the best part of our trip to Novia Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. Mind you, we had terrific experiences all over; but, this was the highlight. Jeremy Brown (a real cutie!) was a guide that we felt comfortable and confident with. Preparation was good. The scenery was beautiful. The adventure was relaxing and good exercise. Highly... More

I had booked a 4 hour tour online, which was easy to do. Karl called the night before to alert us it might be too windy to go out the next day, but to call in the morning. Luckily, the morning was going to be ok, so he agreed to go out for 2 hrs before the winds were to... More

Paddling on the South Shore was a wonderful experience. The map was a little difficult to read but it was easy enough to find our way around once we started paddling. The views are very pretty and there are plenty of places to explore or go shore to have a lunch in a secluded spot. We chose not to participate... More

An outstanding Afternoon. Our group of Camping friends was three couples in tandem Sea Kayaks. We did the 3 hour Blue Rocks guided tour with guides Carl and Fin. Great guys and great Guides. From the initial booking to the arrival, instruction, paddling, shore snacks and return, everything was extremely professional, personal, safe and most of all FUN. The Blue... More

I can't help but hear that line from Neil Young's song (on Harvest Moon) in my mind when I think of kayaking along the eastern shore near Blue Rocks, under the guidance of Carl and/or one of the fellow guides from Pleasant Paddling. Anyone wanting to get a feel of Atlantic Canada, or more specifically the South Shore of Nova... More

My partner and I really enjoyed our morning kayaking trip with Pleasant Paddling. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable and the coastal scenery around the hamlet of Blue Rocks where we kayaked was lovely. I think it's best to book the morning trip if possible as the wind tends to increase as the day goes on.

My family and I had a wonderful experience with Pleasant Paddling. It was our first time kayaking but the route we took was calm and beautiful. Our guide was very friendly and had lots to share about the area. We took the 3 hour Blue Rocks tour and stopped for a 1/2 hour on a nearby island for watermelon and... More

Went out on a 4 hour kayak tour through Blue Rocks with our young son (who did great sitting in the front of a double kayak). We had a great guide taking us along the water,he was very friendly and knowledgeable. This was my first time kayaking, and I loved it. Cannot wait to try it again. So glad we... More

We decided to use a guide from Pleasant Paddling since the islands in the area are a bit of a maze. I'm glad we did. Our guide was Matt, who is now a full-time guide, but who has several university degrees and an interest in everything. He knocked himself out to make our trip perfect, from the food planning and...
