My husband and I and our two teens loved the experience. We got to see Nova Scotia scenery that would never have been possible from the shore. No experience necessary, but exciting enough that the kids had a great time. Paul and Fin knowledgeable and interesting guides. Weather was chilly but the rubber "skirts" that tucked over the seats kept... More

At 65, with two replaced knees and a total love of being on the water in a kayak and knowledge that getting in and out of a boat is at best problematic for me, I still was excited about the opportunity to kayak in Nova Scotia. Every detail of the experience was perfect. Jen made me feel comfortable that I... More

A little daunting at first as the ocean and the waves looked like it might be difficult getting launched. Carl put us at ease with his cool easygoing manner and gave us the skinny in about 20 minutes and away we went! Awesome paddling and easy steering with the rudder makes these kayaks manageable. We got to see the Ovens... More

The Pleasant Paddling was very fun and a great experience. I went with my family and some family friends and we had a great time. The weather was not great being rain, but our guide Paul was great. The scenery is beautiful and there is lots of wildlife to look at during your paddle. Great experience and highly recommend it!

We have been to once Lunenburg before and were looking for some active sightseeing. The Ovens sea caves looked fascinating from the pictures so we booked a 9:30am tour. The weather was about as perfect as could be - about 20 Celsius and not a cloud in the sky with near glass like water. Our guide David made the trip... More

Before kayaking with Pleasant Paddling, I had only kayaked once, and it was not a pleasant experience! However, I was willing to give it another go. We heard about Pleasant Paddling, and had just an absolutely wonderful time! The paddling instruction we were given made all the difference in the world. The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful, had a... More

If you go kayaking into the Blue Rocks without a guide make sure you at least rent a map from Carl before heading out. We had our own kayaks and went off into the Blue Rocks without a map and became confused. Luckily Carl was coming back with a group of kayakers and directed us down the right passage to... More

The weather for our scheduled morning trip was grim, but Karl (the owner) was flexible enough to reschedule for early afternoon. It turned out to be a stunningly beautiful tour of the Blue Rocks with a smart, witty, charming guide --that would be Karl-- to show us things we've never seen. It was one of the highlights of a week... More

This was the best part of our trip to Novia Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. Mind you, we had terrific experiences all over; but, this was the highlight. Jeremy Brown (a real cutie!) was a guide that we felt comfortable and confident with. Preparation was good. The scenery was beautiful. The adventure was relaxing and good exercise. Highly... More

I had booked a 4 hour tour online, which was easy to do. Karl called the night before to alert us it might be too windy to go out the next day, but to call in the morning. Luckily, the morning was going to be ok, so he agreed to go out for 2 hrs before the winds were to... More
