Situated in the old town of Lunenburg and residing in the building that used to be the old marine blacksmith shop, we create small batches of artisan spirits using produce from the Maritimes. We make vodka and brandy using Annapolis Valley apples, Pear Eaude vie and several delicious fruit liqueurs. Tastings are free. « less

We stumbled across Ironworks products at a farmers' market in eastern Nova Scotia and decided to swing through Lunenburg on our way to the ferry in Yarmouth just to see the distillery. To our delight we found the town to be well worth the visit, and the distillery more than lived up to our expectations. I have visited many distilleries... More

We stopped by for a visit and to make a few purchases. i loved the setting (an old blacksmith shop) and the smell of the next batch brewing was very pleasant. The woman behind the counter was very knowledgeable and great fun to talk to. We tried the rum and the vodka, both of which were unique and delicious.

Great shop, amazing design, distillery apparatus on display - and running if you're lucky! Samples are delicious - had to bring home bottle of Apple Brandy.

The Ironworks Distillery was amazing-a must see when visiting Lunenburg! The building is amazing, as is the staff. You can sample all of their unique products before you buy. Next time I come to Lunenburg I will definitely be stopping in again!

Ok...this place not only makes some of the best and most unique products you will find anywhere but the atmosphere is wonderful too. The distillery was started in the old blacksmiths shop and the presence of their large, working copper still makes the visit quite authentic. The owners are dedicated and knowledgeable and the staff is quick to welcome and... More

I had done some research on Lunenburg before going and Ironworks Distillery popped up, and so.....we made the effort to walk up the road from the Boscawen Inn where were were staying....so glad we did. What an interesting visit - we chatted with other visitors, we tasted, we bought - including the t-shirt "The Spirits of Lunenburg" (cool, eh?). Gotta... More

Step into the old blacksmith's work shop, the aroma of the "Still at work" will transport you to a new experience. The assortment of alcohol products is surprising and the packaging is nice enough to buy a gift here. Or you can just enjoy the hand made rum. If in Town this is a must visit.

I had heard great reviews about the Distillery and decided to stop by during my visit in Lunenburg. They take the time to explain the process and let you taste as many flavors as you wish! Very good products!

I learned a lot about distillery. Presentations were accessible. Samples were free. Despite my best intentions, ended up buying a bottle of their amazing Dark Spiced Rum. mmmm

As you walk in you can basically see the distillery in operation right in front of you. It was quite cool to see but some of the technical questions I had were answered by a guy that either was less experienced than me or didn't feel that I could comprehend the proper answer because the answers I got were not... I am indeed pleased to hear that you appreciate the new life we have given the distillery, but of course, as one of the owners I am saddened to hear that you felt you were given inaccurate information. Most of our staff are very adept at fielding questions about our process and almost everyone is very capable at running our... More
