Small town on the river bank.

Great place to get a week's rest any afternoon. Quiet, contemplative, good to get away from just about everything except your thoughts.

If you're heading north to Peace River stop just before you get there and turn right on Highway 688, drive a few miles and stop at the 12 Foot Davis monument lookout. Here you can see the whole area of the city the valleys and the rivers. Its beautiful. Peace River is not a large city but it is the... More

Peace River is a very scenic area. I would like to use this space to rate the view point from the 12 Foot Davis viewpoint. Having been there 10 years ago it was a pleasure to find that it has been greatly improved with interesting information in the form of plaques and recorded information. Access is tricky and it is... It is a very scenic River Valley. It can be appreciated in every season of the year. Right now the Valley is every shade of green in contrast to the water of the Peace River, Autumn brings the rainbow of colors from the deciduous and conifer trees. There is a Native legend that says if you drink the waters of... More

Peace River is a nice medium sized town straddling on the beautiful Peace River. There is everything you need here, grocery stores, shopping, hotels, attractions, etc. The relatively new Tim Horton’s is a great perk for visiting here too! While in town take in a move at the theater and be sure to plan a walk along the river on... More

The Town of Peace River is situated right in the valley of the Peace River. What a beautiful setting! Gorgeous veiws from look out points - excellent for photographers. Had really great meals in town. This town is so beautiful to walk around in, with some neat shops down town.
