Aylard Farm is one of the entrance to East Sooke Park on Vancouver Island , one of the many parks in the southern tip. Try the coastal trail, pack a picnic, a memorable experience.

We love this spot, it has beautiful views and a nice path, lets you stretch your legs and give the dogs and kids a good walk too. Beaches on both side of the path and you get to experience wildlife like no other...sea otters, sea lions, a variety of birds and the odd whale. Lots of fishing boats motoring by... More

Many trail options. Gorgeous scenery. We saw sea lions! The coast trail requires a lot of climbs and scrambling over rocks and roots. Out in the boondocks. Don't come here late in the evening or you may get lost in the wilderness!

One of the prettiest beaches on the planet. Scenic view of the Olympia mts. across the straight. Crystal clear water and beautiful sand.

LOVE this beach. Very sandy, and has shady spots under trees. Kids love it here. A little walk (about 5-6 minutes) from the parking lot so keep that in mind if lugging down a bunch of stuff. You can take a path down with a stroller but hard to push once you get in the sand! Highly recommend this beautiful... More

I've lived here all my life and not ventured into more than the parking lot at Alyard Farm, part of the East Sooke Regional Park System. I had no idea until this week, when a helpful parking lot volunteer pointed out our various options, that such a variety of beautiful oceanfront day hikes were available on the extensive trail system,... We take one of the Beach Walk Loops to get a pretty good workout. Portions of the trail sometimes appear non-existent but adds to the experience. Some portions should be tried by folks not able to climb rocks etc. It is one of the prettiest beach/surf walks we have taken.

The road to get there has plenty of curves watch the posted speed limit. Also there is a one lane bridge where one side of traffic has the right of way.

Starting with the lovely gentlemen manning the info booth in the parking lot this is a hikers paradise! Don't take my word for it, just go there, load up your daypack and trek away. WOW! All sorts of terrain from woods paths to rock scrambling. The views are sublime. Loved it.

This little gem of a trail offers magnificent shoreline views at almost every turn. The terrain can sometimes be challenging due to the rocks underfoot. But you can make the journey as long as you want (we only did about 3.5 miles round-trip) and still have a rewarding time.
