If there is water and a boat we'll be on it. Having driven from Trois Rivieres to Baie St Paul, we decided to continue along the river route up the ST, Lawrence to St Simeon. The road is like driving in a European circuit with steep hills, winding roads and sharp curves, but outstanding scenery. We decided to take the... More

We stayed in RDL for a night and decided to take the ferry across to St. Simeon so that we could drive the north shore to Quebec City. The attendants spoke perfect English and were pleasant, but even though we were the first car there, they put us in a separate row and then proceeded to fill the first row... More

Great opportunity to view this area of Quebec from the water. Reasonable price, friendly, efficient. We then travelled to Quebec City on the 'opposite side' with slower traffic and beautiful countryside. An unplanned departure from our agenda but really enjoyed it and recommend it.

Nice inside, few things to do for the kids. I wasn't expecting the price, to bring the car over and 3 people was $93. Maybe that is status quo for ferries, I just didn't know.

Rivière-Du-Loup sits close to the mouth of the St Lawrence as it enters from the Northern Atlantic. A ferry ride is at least a sweater day most of the year. Because of its location at the mouth you are apt to see sea creatures that you will not find anywhere else on St Lawrence. If in area, treat yourself and... More

More than just a typical ferry ride because of the location - we saw plenty of seals and even spotted a whale. It also gave us the chance to drive along both banks of the St Lawrence which I can highly recommend. It is a little pricy and drink/snacks service from some of the staff was grumpy and grudging.

Enjoyed the ride across the St. Lawrence River. Small bar/restaurant on board that people seemed to enjoy. Comfortable seating and reasonable price.

Lovely ride across the St Lawrence River to St Siméon and back. We went as walk-ons and just had coffee on the other side before returning. We even saw some Gray Whales in the distance. A really popular trip during spawning season (@May) and Elephant Seals I'm told.

The M.V. Trans-Saint-Laurent is one of the few ferries in Québec to offer full meal service on board from mid-June to mid-September, and a snack bar. Please note that starting from September 16th, passengers may purchase food and beverages at the snack bar where a variety of food is available.
