More than just a typical ferry ride because of the location - we saw plenty of seals and even spotted a whale. It also gave us the chance to drive along both banks of the St Lawrence which I can highly recommend. It is a little pricy and drink/snacks service from some of the staff was grumpy and grudging.

Enjoyed the ride across the St. Lawrence River. Small bar/restaurant on board that people seemed to enjoy. Comfortable seating and reasonable price.

Lovely ride across the St Lawrence River to St Siméon and back. We went as walk-ons and just had coffee on the other side before returning. We even saw some Gray Whales in the distance. A really popular trip during spawning season (@May) and Elephant Seals I'm told.

The M.V. Trans-Saint-Laurent is one of the few ferries in Québec to offer full meal service on board from mid-June to mid-September, and a snack bar. Please note that starting from September 16th, passengers may purchase food and beverages at the snack bar where a variety of food is available.

We really enjoyed our crossing from Rivière-du-Loup to Simeon. We saw wildlife and enjoyed sitting out side taking in the view of the mountains and shore. We would most definitely use this ferry again.

Have taken this ferry before and as in previous trips found it to be clean and quick. Saw two pods of belugas during the crossing. Certainly a most convenient and relaxing way of getting from the north shore to the south shore of the St. Lawrence, especially on a beautiful summer morning.

If you making a road trip to Gaspé it's worth your while to take the North shore road, check out town of Tadoussac and use the ferry to cross St. Laurence river to Riviere-Du Loup (from St. Simeon) and then continue your trip. It's not a cheap but very interesting and fun experience (especially in summer). We took the 9... More

Our family has taken this ferry twice now, both times from R-du-Loup to Saint-Simeon. First time we couldn,t see more than 20 metres due to fog. The second trip (2011) was on a beautiful, sunny day. We stayed outside on the deck for most of the trip and saw several small whales, minke perhaps. You drive on board, then go... More
