Our family has taken this ferry twice now, both times from R-du-Loup to Saint-Simeon. First time we couldn,t see more than 20 metres due to fog. The second trip (2011) was on a beautiful, sunny day. We stayed outside on the deck for most of the trip and saw several small whales, minke perhaps. You drive on board, then go... More

We really enjoyed the crossing. We saw whale pods and beautiful scenery. Make sure you let them know that you are doing the return trip if you are taking the ferry as a tour. They have a kids play room which was perfect because we had a 2 year old with us

We recently stayed in Riviere-Du-Loup and needed to get to St. Simeon first thing in the morning to drive down to Quebec City with a few stops along the way. We were running very late for the ferry, so it was helpful that there are signs all over town pointing to the ferry terminal, although the sign for the very... More

This trip between the two banks was fantastic in the summer heat. You feel the wideness of the St-Lawrence in the coolness of the river. You pass l’Ile aux Lièvres, count 1 hour and a half on board (fast food lounge available)

As suggested on the website, we arrived 90 minutes in advance of our 11:15 departure and glad we did as the lanes filled up very quickly. It looked as if some cars were left behind as we loaded. There are lots of interesting things to explore while waiting to load including a long pier to walk along, a little gift... More

We had been in Tadoussac while on vacation and driving to Fundy National Park in New Brunswich next. We decided to save some hours of driving by taking the ferry. We arrived a few hours early to insure a spot. We filled our time with eating breakfast, cleaning the car (there are garbage cans along the waiting line) and searching... More
