We have been to the new aquarium and science centre a few times since it opened in 2011. It is a huge improvement over the older facility and is full of interesting and well thought out exhibits. The key attraction is perhaps the seals which at feeding time are most interesting. The new viewing area is not well planned though,... More

We toured this facility just before they shut down for their renovations. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. Very informative and fun. Loved the seal interpretation show. More

Millions spent renovating the public building and made it bigger and better. A good place to take the kids. More

We love the seals best, but they have lots of different displays and touch tanks and feed the seal times. More

Not much to see here. Very small and cramped. Kids would find it interesting, maybe adults too. More

This is a brand new facility, and when I attended not all the displays were complete. However there was still a lot to see: quite a few interactive displays (videos of then and now), a wonderful explanation of the history of the Science Centre, and then we can't forget the marine animals. The touch tanks were really neat, and I... More

The reopening of the brand new aquarium in St. Andrews is definitely worth the 1 1/2 hr drive from Fredericton. Expected to open earlier in the summer, construction delays meant the opening on Sept 1st yielded only half a completed public facility. Accordingly, admission for the month of September is 1/2 off. For $7 an adult, there is enough to... More

The Huntsman Aquarium in St. Andrews-by-the-Sea NB is a great place to take kids of any age. A family of four will cost about $21. The highlight for my kids was the touch tank which is filled with star fish, crabs, urchins, and sea cucumbers. There is also tank with Atlantic sturgeon and a couple stingrays. Another highlight was the... More

This is a charming little aquarium. Nothing spectacular -- just a small collection of local marine life, located on the campus of a research institute. It is clearly a low budget affair, but what is also evident is the time, effort and enthusiasm that went into the displays. Some of the aquatic life on display is quite remarkable. And the... More
