We went this fall and i was plesantly suprised at all the upgrades that were made since i was there a few years back. The kids loved it... You do have to be careful if your using your cell phones, ours were hitting the American cell tower causing long distance charges.

This museum has a lot of food for thought for adults in that it explains the research that has occurred here and is ongoing. Most children walked right by. The aquariums had lots to show including tanks where you could pick up sea creatures. There were a couple films that I like seeing. My husband and I spent quite some... More

Do check the opening hours before you go. I was there for a reception and fashion show in the theatre. During the reception we visited the exhibits. On previous occasions I have been there with children. We were all standing around the touch pool but no one was putting their hands in which seemed strange.

Here we learned a lot about lobster, the lady who did a lobster presentation was passionate about it, knew a lot and if it was only for that it was worth the visit. The fish tanks and the touch and feel the ocean creatures was really fun. Plus the seal show. Go to the aquarium if you visit St. Andrews,... More

Our B & B hosts suggested the aquarium to us as the weather was not for outdoors that day. It was a great suggestion as we learnt so much about shell fish and were also able to handle some of the creatures. Excellent.

Loved the touch tanks as well as the multi purpose room, where we had a meeting. It was so cool to see the seals swimming in the tank behind the head table.

Aquarium is located on a campus where marine research is done, thus has a ready supply of expertise and species to exhibit. Not very large, but in a couple of hours you'll see a large variety of maritime species, many in a please-touch pool. Twice a day they feed the 2 resident seals who are very amusing, and the accompanying... More

There was enough here to keep us and our two children interested for a few hours. Our ticket also allowed us leave and return later in the day. The aquarium staff also were knowlegable and helpful.

As aquariums go this could be a lot better. While it has probably the best 'touch tank' I've seen, with scallops actually 'swimming' to get away from starfish, the two big tanks (one fish, one seals) are filled directly from the Bay of Fundy, and while very "au naturel", are dark, cloudy and very hard to see anything moving in.... Your visit to the Fundy Discovery Aquarium is very much appreciated. As a private not-for-profit research and science based teaching institution, the Aquarium is the public face to inform visitors to the region about Canada's east coast marine ecology and the marine based economy. The clarity of the water has many effects, from weather (as two of the tanks are... More

We weren't so sure about this stop, but ended up having a great time. The touch tank was the highlight for sure as the kids could get up close to all kinds of creatures and actually feel them. They loved that experience. It was also really neat to see an aquarium like this situated right next to the Bay where... More
