Kayaking with Eastern Outdoors was an active, fun family activity. We signed up for the 2.5 hour Navy Island Tour at Saint Andrews by-the-sea on Fundy Bay. Bob's (our tour guide) knowledge of kayaking and friendly nature had me and my family feeling extremely safe under his care. It was evident that Eastern Outdoors makes a point of keeping their... We stumbled upon Eastern Outdoors as we were exploring Saint Andrews in the early evening. "Kayaking, what a great idea," was our immediate thought when we say the charming outfit between the main street and the beach. The shop was closed but there was a phone number to call. My wife called and left a message and between a few... More

We dealt with Bob and his wife Diana who did a first class job on a multi day kayak trip for us. The service was terrific, bob was completely knowledgable about the kayaks and the area. Our excursion couldn't have been better. We even had great weather!. If you were looking for food and accommodation Diana was there to look... More

We booked our trip and of course were a little nervous not doing it via the cruise lines, this was the best thing we EVER did !!! Bob was waiting on us at the terminal and took us on a beautiful drive through St. John's with a stop at the reversing falls then on to dipper harbour. The bathrooms were... More

Really enjoyed our 2.5 hour leisure kayak around Navy Island. The waves were rough, but we had a safe trip despite the rough water. It was my first time kayaking and we used a two-person kayak with an experienced friend steering. The excellent safety instructions and hands-on practice prior to leaving came in handy in the rough waters. Thank you... More

I had never been in a kayak before when I arrived. With Bob as the guide, we did 3 days of kayaking - around Dipper Harbour as well as at Deer Island. We saw great landscapes, seals and porpoises. I camped on site where there is a bathroom and hot water for showers. Bob knows the area so very well... More

We like travel off the beaten path and struck gold with Eastern Outdoors. Before travel we carried on an extensive e-mail conversation about our group and our preferences. Eastern Outdoors tailored the excursion to fit our abilities and interests perfectly, including a wonderful homemade lunch of fresh-caught lobster. (Complete with lobster-cracking lessons for us land-lubbers.) Our host was friendly and... More
