Even the teenage boys loved this adventure. We took the 4pm sailing aboard a beautiful ship. We saw seals, porpoises, many birds including 2 bald eagles AND whales! One whale was within 4 feet of the side of the ship!! A snack of home made soup was provided and there was a bar on board for drinks. Many people packed... More

We went on the Jolly Breeze with friends, their teens and our 5 year old. We all had a great time - we saw harbour seals, porpoises and minke whales. My 5 year old counted jellyfish which numbered well over 100 and he thought this was amazing! You get blankets provided but you need thick coats and hats even in... More

We had an awesome trip. It was very warm in St. Andrews on Saturday, August 22, so it was really nice to get out on the water on a tall ship - The Jolly Breeze! It is a magnificent ship with a top notch crew - Rob, Val, Andrew, and Marine Biologist, Katherine. Exceptionally knowledgeable about the area and the... More

We were out on the Jolly Breeze 8/26/2015.We had a great time, saw many porpoises and a finback whale. There MAY have been more than one whale, but who knows,as we saw this type of whale quite a few times. The crew was knowledgeable and entertaining. The kids were kept busy and they served an awesome soup.I would certainly recommend this crew and ship. They even... I'm giving this a 5 star rating and we didn't see any of the larger whales. We did see Harbor Porpoises, seals and a Bald Eagle though. Even if we had not seen a thing the trip was well worth it. Went with our 4 y.o. who had tons of fun. She not only got to go for a ride... More

Sailing to a whale is fun especially with the jolly crew aboard the Jolly Breeze. Captain Rob is an expert skipper. Chief Engineer Bob is a humorous story-teller and the marine biologists on board are great with kids and very knowledgeable. A quality meal is included no matter the time of day and there's lots of kids activities like face-painting,... More

First trip out on a tall ship, with our grandson, great entertainment for all, although no whales were noted on this day, grey seals, dolphins, great breakfast, and very educational with a touch tank, Pirates, face painting, fresh coffee and awesome scenery with great hosts. Thanks, Bob, John and Jade

We booked a whale watching cruise on the Jolly Breeze out of St. Andrews. The ship is beautifully built and well maintained. The crew do a great job keeping the children on board entertained - pirate garb is issued before boarding the vessel, the kids can get their faces painted, the help raise the sails and steer the ship. There... More

Fabulous trip for all ages! Ask the kids their favourite part the face painting & getting to drive the boat! However they do enjoy getting to touch the starfish and seeing the crab. The show & tell section with live sea creatures is just one of the great features. With such knowledgable staff I think I learn something new every... More

After two weeks in the maritimes - the consensus is clear. The best thing was the ride on the Pirate ship. (Ie: the Jolly Breeze). Getting to dress up was just the start, but Mom liked the learning opportunities presented with the marine biologist sharing her knowledge with the touch tank full of cool marine life. Helping steer the ship... More
