We came to mara park for a day hangout on the beach. There was plenty of space, the beach was nice and clean and the crowd was friendly families. No complaints here, will come back again.

Just outside orillia perfect camping. Small making for provincial park but the amazing beach makes up for it. Centre sites are not very private but the outside loops and anything beyond the washrooms are great. Main shower area super clean and good. Washrooms near beach are old but very clean

We chose this campground because of the beach. It was a fantastic beach for the kids and the water was very shallow all the way out to the buoys. Our campground was great. There were lots of trees and tables. There was a lot of between our lot and our neighbors which was nice. Our only disappointment was that the... More

Water was crystal clear ! Large beach with volleyball area. Boat rentals are very close by at reasonable prices. Showers need more attention to cleaning shelving walls and ceilings. Bathrooms were alright. Wood was soaked and had to be purchased from the campsite at $7. Per bag! But they do not have it stored where they are kept dry when... More

Almost 130 km far from Toronto, with $14.5 entrance fee.Very clean and beautiful beach specially at sun set with shallow sandy lake of Simco. The campsite worth to stay with private shower. It is $47 for 6 person (regular size) or $71 for large size.

This is a beach destination park. There really isn't much more to do here. Lots a require nice and private but some are close to the road you drive on to enter the park. Overall very quiet and a must beach destination. Beautiful sand, clear water, south facing. Just great overall.

We've been camping at Mara for almost 10 years. It's become a home to us. Beautiful beaches, cozy campsites, close to town. Yeah, the washrooms can be messy, but you're camping... So, I'm not sure why people are complaining. Showers are clean, mostly just the washroom floors that get dirty from the constant traffic. The beach is AMAZING. It's small... More

This park is best for day use. The beach is big and safe for kids. Nice wetland trails. The camping sites are in the wetland and most aren't too private. McRae is better for camping.
