The OPP Museum is a great stop for adults and kids. Visitors can learn about the history of policing in Ontario and how things have changed over the years.

If you are in Orillia or passing by stop and visit the OPP Museum located in the OPP General Headquarters. There is free parking at the front of the building in the large circular drive. It’s not very big but well worth the visit. It would interest young and old. Pick up the handy guide “Behind the Badge” that outlines... More

This is an excellent museum onsite at the beautiful OPP building in Orillia. I have been with many classrooms of children while teaching and there are many things they can touch, and the interactive nature of it makes it so very educational and real, along with excellent memorabilia and photos. Outstanding.

Toured this several years ago and really enjoyed the experience. Gives you a real appreciation of what it takes to become an officer, the history and training of the force and its members.

We happened to be there on a rare Saturday opening, for the 40th anniversary of the tactical unit. All staff and officers on duty were very friendly and approachable and gave us interesting information and explanations to our questions.

An interesting collection of memorabilia, from the earliest days of the OPP, to present day. Outstanding restorations of police cars, motorcycle and a boat. Static and interactive displays of many aspects of the OPP over the years and an hour of your time should cover it in detail. It started as part of our rainy day back up plan, but... More

Doesn't take too long to go through the museum, but worth going to see. It's also neat to see the OPP Headquarters where the museum is located. Gift shop is well stocked too.

Kind of stale, needs to be modernized a bit and expanded. The old uniforms are interesting but the place needs a facelift.

The Museum is not very big and can easily be covered in about 30 minutes to one hour. Some very interesting displays for all ages.
