This is the review of Gananoque Boat Line's 1 hour Thousand Islands Cruise departing from Ivy Lea (half way between Gananoque and International Bridge). The major difference between the Gananoque and Ivy Lea departure is that the later would circle the Boltd Castle while the former would not. The 1 hr cruise does not stop at the castle and thus... We did not have much time stopping at Gananoque so we took the one-hour cruise. It was nice but did not go very far from the harbor. We should have taken the 2.5-hour cruise which can go further such as to the Boldt island and the catle. Everything in Gananoque is so cheap - parking ($2), hot dog ($2-3), cafe...... More

My husband and I had a mini getaway in Gananoque and thoroughly enjoyed the 5 hr. Boldt Castle Cruise. The Captain and crew were helpful and very knowledgeable. Haven't seen the castle in years and it was amazing to see all the wonderful changes. We plan on going back in 2 years to see more progress.

We were very excited to take the Motown dinner and dancing cruise. As we do not eat meat, we requested fish. We were assured we would have some. Indeed, we did: a can of tuna, cold. The rest of the meal was passable. The music was excellent, the dancing floor really crowded and very hot. A good time was had.... More

Located in the town of Gananoque, Ontario, the 1000 Island boat cruises by this company are fantastic… Their employees are friendly and professional; the boats are large and in very good condition; the boarding / disembarking process is very efficient… We enjoyed the 5 hour cruise which stops at Boldt Castle on Heart Island, USA. The castle is a photographic... More

Highly recommend you take this trip.. The scenery amongst the islands gorgeous. Apparently the cruise is packed on the weekends so we went on Monday at 3 which was great. We enjoyed excellent food at the Castle cafe near the dock. The Castle is well worth seeing - the restoration is amazing! Our 12 year old granddaughter loved it and... More

From the time we arrived at this attraction, we were greeted with nothing but trouble. There are many many bus tours that stop over at this attraction. Part of our tour group was in front several other people in the middle and then myself. People were rude and discourteous and were pushing like farm animals to get in front of... More

As expected, it was a beautiful cruise. We find the ticket pricing reasonable, but the food/drink prices are outrageous. We understand that seating is fluid, people moving around, but a gentleman stood in front of my husband and myself for several minutes as we were seated, and clearly heard us say that we'd get a drink and come back. We... More

The 2.5 hour tour was great and very informative. We decided to forego the Bohlt Castle stopover due to reviews and local opinion regarding the extended wait times for US Customs and the disappointment with the unfinished second floor interior and grafitti. This tour offers take you on a large loop that includes a circling of Bohlt Castle The only... More
