The Boat leaves from Gananoque, Ontario, Canada, so you will need a passport to go due to the fact that the stopover is in the USA , if you do not have your passport you can not get off the boat to visit the island. The cruise alone river is most relaxing and the sights are so nice to see.... More

Nice to sit outside on the top deck on a hot day. One drawback though is there are no screens up there for seeing the underwater shipwrecks. Also because the commentary is bilingual - you tend to stop listening during the French part and then don't always realize they have changed to English and you miss the first part of... More

Gananoque is not just a quaint little town in Eastern Ontario it is the gate to the Thousand Islands, one of the most beautiful sites in Canada. On a cool and somber day in mid June a cruise may not appear very appealing, but when it is the cruise on the majestic St. Lawrence river it is spectacular at all... More

We went to Boldt Castle with Gananoque Boat lines and it was fantastic. Very relaxing , comfortable and the scenery just beautiful. Boldt Castle was great but 2 hours was limited especially if you wanted to visit the Yacht House, not enough time . Otherwise everything excellent, the crew was awesome, very friendly.

We really enjoyed this boat trip. The boat was clean and modern, the crew were friendly and the commentary was interesting. It was reasonably priced and lasted as long as it was supposed to, but of course the main thing was the beauty and interest of the islands themselves. One small point - if you are interested in seeing informatin... More

We took the Boldt Castle excursion. One word of warning - you MUST have a valid US or Canadian passport and visas for foreign travellers in your possession for this tour. The one hour and two and a half hour tours do not require it - but spending time at Boldt Castle is the best excursion by far. The crew... More

We took the cruise that stops at Boldt Castle. Just a few notes: bring food! There's nothing beyond chips and hot dogs on the boat, and the hot dogs, hamburgers etc at the castle aren't great. Other folks brought picnics on board and I wish we had known to do the same. The commentary on the boat is very difficult... More
