Liz was very welcoming and nice! Although it was raining she managed to plan a route for us to see all the beauty of Andalusian nature. The horses were well-trained and human-friendly. It was a lovely time spend! More

Stunning views, fresh in the mountains of Spain, taking in the old ruins and some history of Andalusia without walking. All on fantastic, steady horses, you couldn't ask for more. When my mum and me first visited Liz and her horses we thought the ride was fantastic, galloping across fields, trekking up mountains. Second time, a moonlit ride, beautiful. Third... More

I can not recommend The Sierra Pelada Riding school highly enough. The horse's are an absolute credit to owner Liz.. All the horses we meet were relaxed and happy and very fit. I was riding Luna, a Spanish horse, she was light in the hands and very responsive to the seat, a pure pleasure to ride. We chose the half... More

A perfect day. Liz is an amazing teacher! We were all novices with two small children. She explained everything in such a fun child like way which made the children confident and happy. It's not just the riding that was fab, it was the whole experience from preparing the horses, feeding and seeing all of the beautiful views. Liz, her... More

Been out on a trek today with Liz and it was the best experience I've had riding so far, beautiful horses along with beautiful scenery made the perfect day. With the dogs in tow as well it was truly a memorable day. I will definitely be back sooner rather than later (maybe to pinch all her dogs too :) Thanks... More

I booked a riding lesson for myself and my partner for her birthday, I had never been on a horse and it was 30years since my partner had. Liz was so understanding and got us aclimatised by letting us brush to horses and showed us how to fit the reins, sadle etc and then we were off. Liz walked in... More

Whilst working in Ilora, we had the fortune to have a day visiting the Sierra Pelada Horse Riding School. What a great place with fantastic hosts, Liz and John. I am at best a novice rider, but was made to feel completely at ease. Liz and John have a knack of making everyone welcome and finding the perfect horse for... More

We (a party of two adults and two teenagers) arranged an overnight camping trip plus three hours of riding (lots of cantering and the odd gallop) up into the mountain range around the Sierra Pelada, Illora. What an amazing experience The horses were wonderful. Responsive, agile and calm; definitely not your usual riding school nature All the camping equipment was... More
