Las Grutas de Tolantongo, reminds me of a tv show of best hidden secret places to visit!! This could be a one day visit or spend entire week! Lots of things to do including hiking, caving, waterfalls... the aqua blue color water is warm... put swimsuit on and walk behind waterfall to discover a cave that you can walk inside.... More

My girlfriend and me back every time there but they don't have any sense to get the same amount from the ones who just go to stay a while as much as the ones who are going to stay more days. The road to there is quite crappy and all that money they get should be used to put asphalt... More

My wife and I were at Tolantongo earlier this year and loved it. We would like to go back when we have more time We only spend one night there in a cabin. The staff was friendly, they were patient with my broken Spanish, the food was wonderful and the view spectacular.

The landscape is magical and there are dozens of pools of all shapes and sizes that have been built to cascade down the mountain. You can get to the pools just outside your cabin door. The view from the poos is amazing - down the length of the valley. It feels as if you have found eden. We went with... More

On December 2012, I traveled to Mexico to re-discover my country of origin. I did not have a set plan, I was following signs and symbols for guidance. For starts, I celebrated my birthday on 12/12/12. Nice sequence, right? So, I decide, no to visit the common places, stay away from visiting the family, and just follow my intuition: like... More

This is truly a magical place. We were swept away by the beauty, serenity and unusual landscape it has to offer. Spend at least two to three days to explore both the land and the many water features. To see more: http://honeysharp.com/water-light/

One of my top ten favorite places I have visited. A gift from nature with all the amenities you can ask for, the rooms are comfortable, the food is great and a whole lot of things to do and not at all expensive... I loved the caves and the blue river. If you really want to relax this is the... More

Recently my husband and I visited the wonderful pools of Tolantongo after hearing about them for years. It was about a four hour drive from San Miguel de Allende with a good portion on nice highways. The pools are fed by naturally hot mineral water and are situated on the side of a cliff over a lovely canyon. The accommodations... More
