In the heart of Alpilles, the monumental “Carrières de Lumières” host extraordinary multimedia shows which are unique in the world. Spectators are totally immersed in the images projected onto all the surfaces of the rock. The ground is completely covered, too, and becomes a vast carpet of images. The site has reopened its doors with the show “Gauguin - Van Gogh, painters of colour”, created by Gianfranco Iannuzzi with Renato Gatto and Massimiliano Siccardi.

We went on our last day in Provence. It was an incredible experience that I will never forget. Who is the genius that came up with the concept to put an exceptional audiovisual presentation in a massive cave? He/she/they should be recognized for creating a totally new form of art exhibition. We were enthralled to say the least. If you... More

We are planning to come to France again this December, primarily to see the new 2015 Grand Masters Exhibition. It is the most incredible immersion experience of light, sound and movement, Congratulations.

Words can't even really describe this place! The abandoned quarry alone would be fine, but the show was breathtaking. It's a completely immersive show that really wows the audience. Do not miss this!

If you have any interest in the arts, this multimedia sound and light show near Les Baux de Provence is not to be missed. The new show of Renaissance masters just opened in early March, 2015. Paintings by DaVinci, Michelangelo and Rafael are digitized and projected on cave walls and floors in such a massive scale that they dwarf Egyptian... More

I didn't know what to expect before I visited Carrieres de Lumieres. I knew that they projected artwork onto the walls of a quarry, but I wasn't prepared for the total immersion of sound, colour and movement that you get. We were lucky to enter at the start of Jules Verne journey, so we walked into total darkness and then... More

This is the second time that I have been. I will go everytime I visit France. It is the most incredible experience and it never gets old. Masterpieces like you have never seen them before. You could spend all day in there...if you are ever in the region, this is a must for every lover of art and beauty

We were lucky enough to be able to drive to Les Baux, in Provence for the first day of the new show at Carrieres de Lumieres. I won't give away exactly what you'll see but I will tell you, you won't see it anywhere else in the world, and it is an artistic experience created with state of the art... More

I really didn't know what to expect, as my friend and I decided to stay in Les Baux at the last minute. This art installation is absolutely breathtaking and one of the highlights of our trip. in fact, all of Les Baux is a treasure. But being immersed in art and music in the caverns is transformative. I cannot recommend... More

I have visited here before and was blown away by it but the new show for 2015 is just amazing. It is hard to describe how the music and the images meld so seamlessly. The way the images although static images are moved around the walls and pillars are an absolute wonder. If you are within 100miles go, you will... More
