Spectators are totally immersed in the images projected onto all the surfaces of the rock. The ground is completely covered, too, and becomes a vast carpet of images. The site has reopened its doors with the show “Gauguin - Van Gogh, painters of colour”, created by Gianfranco Iannuzzi with Renato Gatto and Massimiliano Siccardi. « less

Amazing Light-sound show. It is presented in the huge cave, so the acoustic is great and there is no external light to interfere. Great presentation quality and music. The discount ticket can be bought for both - castle and this show. Absolutely worth visiting!!

Me and my wife on a touring trip coming down from Avignon and decide to visit here. We have some experience lighting effect on building at night back in Sydney, but nothing compare to a cave and 360 degrees show that you can walk around in. It is awesome! I didn't expect we will be stopping as long as we... More

This was such a special place! Under the Chateau in Les Baux de Provence... in a cave... This season was Klimt and Vienna... OMG... I am hard pressed to explain this multifaceted sound and light show... paintings projected on stone monoliths, on the floors, moving to music, you and the art are one... one walks around through the paintings and... I really didn't know what to expect when I bought the tickets. The picture in the brochure cannot reproduce the effect you get when you actually participate. This is an experience for your eyes and ears. You stroll causally throughout the indoor mine where each viewpoint to the immense audio-visual presentation, presents a different view. Only down side is that... More

Go out of your way to see this exhibition. It's stunning. I have been 5 times now and never tire of it. It's seriously jaw dropping. Immersed in all this glorious art/sound/light show is a pleasure not to be missed.

I was Beyond Excited to see the Carrieres de Lumieres. I had done the research of the hours and trusted that The Baux Provence brochure would have the correct opening and closing times, I read all the small print. In the brochure it clearly states that the Carriers de Lumieres closes at 6pm after Oct 4th. I arrived at exactly... More

We have seen this advertised before when we have been in Provence but this year we decided to go and WOW - it is hard to describe what a phenomenal job they have done to create the current exhibit which is the works of Gustav Klimt and Hundartwasser's paintings. It is totally breath-taking. The show lasts about 30 minutes though... More
