Spectators are totally immersed in the images projected onto all the surfaces of the rock. The ground is completely covered, too, and becomes a vast carpet of images. The site has reopened its doors with the show “Gauguin - Van Gogh, painters of colour”, created by Gianfranco Iannuzzi with Renato Gatto and Massimiliano Siccardi. « less

We are not son et lumieres people, but found this spectacle extraordinary. The combination of the Klimt paintings shot against the walls of the quarry, combined with the music and the knowledge of what befell the paintings' subjects and owners during the Holocaust lent a poignancy to the experience. We stayed through two screenings. Also, don't miss the clips from... More

This is a MUST see, if you're near the area. The experience was overwhelming and quite emotional, and it is quite difficult ro explain what they've really done here. It takes place in a huge quarry with approx. 50-6- surfaces including the floor aand various slopes/stairs. On all the surfaces are projected various Klimp pictures, 6-7 different ones at the... This place is a must see when in Provence. The light show coupled with the music is absolutely stunning. We went in the off season (March) so it was fairly quiet, which only made the whole experience more magical. The scale of the whole thing is breathtaking. Go, go, go!

Explendid art selection and just an astonishing way to present it. I would come back here every month if I could. It is probably the best experience I have had with modern ways with art.

This was the highlight of a wonderful trip to France. So unexpected, so beautiful! The entry fee was very reasonable. Our favourite show was about the art of the Mediterranean and it was so immersive and memorable. And the music was wonderful. Sigh....

We went to this after going to Les Baux, and while it is amazing how they create this show, I would have appreciated it even more had I done more research on the art itself being shown. However, I would recommend it to anyone going to Les Baux! You can walk in and out at anytime, and we walked here... More

Please e aware that like many things in Provence, this attraction closes from mid November until Mar h! I would strongly suggest looking at the dates of all attractions before you make plans. Luckily we checked just the day before we had planned to visit and learned it was closed.

We still refer to these caverns by the original name. In 2012, the original owners were bought out and the new management hired a commercial firm to operate the sight. Apparently they are taking in more money -- and there is nothing wrong with that -- and they have appropriately brought this spectacle to the wider attention of the public.... More

there are many many experiences in a lifetime that can overwhelm you. this is one of them. it's a huge rock quarry. they project impressionist art on the walls and blast psychedelic music from the speakers. it really is surreal. PS don't blame me if it's not impressionism. i think they change the theme now and then. also, the sound... More

If you are anywhere in Provence in the south of France, this show is a must. It is unique and like nothing I have ever seen. You don't need to be an art enthusiast to really enjoy it. A real visual and auditory treat.
