Spectators are totally immersed in the images projected onto all the surfaces of the rock. The ground is completely covered, too, and becomes a vast carpet of images. The site has reopened its doors with the show “Gauguin - Van Gogh, painters of colour”, created by Gianfranco Iannuzzi with Renato Gatto and Massimiliano Siccardi. « less

This was a fantastic unexpected treat! We had lunch in St. Remy and someone suggested we make the short trip down to Les Baux for this "show". I strongly recommend anyone in the area make time to visit this amazing "exhibit/show". It's hard to describe.

Fantastic experience - do not miss this if you are anywhere close to Les Baux. You get a discount if you do this plus the castle so take advantage of that. You might want to bring a light jacket in since it can get chilly in the caverns and give yourself a good amount of time. The loop that we... More

Don't even think about missing this incredible attraction if you're in the Provence region. It defies description and is simply a magical experience for everyone. Many have tried to describe it, including myself, and no words do it justice. It is an overwhelming experience for your eyes and ears and you will feel transformed while watching this beautiful display of... More

We didn't know what to expect when we put this item on our itinerary, aside from just reading it from the internet. But words can hardly describe the experience. The huge limestone (?) cavern is beautifully carved, and they run 2 shows. The first is the main cave where they project works of artists (ours in July 2014 was Klimt... More

We had read about this attraction in the guidebooks but had rather forgotten about it until we bought tickets to see the castle at Les Baux and were asked if we wanted to include access to it as part of our ticket. I'm so pleased we said yes, this was a completely surreal but beautiful visit; as soon as you... More

Stunning, once in a lifetime emotional experience created by combining art and music in setting that has been waiting for such a presentation for millions of years, namely a huge cave. The creators of this "art" event demonstrate the genius that lives in only a few people in this world.

If you are hunting for the "Cathedrale des Images", this is it. The powers of the commune drove the previous owners out and turned the caverns over to a commercial management firm that handles several sites. The feel of the newly-named Carrières de Lumières is the same, though, because the creative team is the same. This year's multi-media show is... More

We went to see this because it was the number one attraction in the area, which is a delightful part of the world to start off with We arrived early on a hot September day. We were prepared for it to be cold, but it was merely cooler than outside. It is a disused cavern which has been used for... More

Many have reviewed this, but you truly have to go to see it. Perched atop huge rock formations there are caves which let the visitor in for a view of incredible art and music played upon the vast walls. I have been many places, and many caves, but this beggars description. They were showing the work of Paul Klimnt. It... More

I wish there was a way that i could give perfect definition for this show. But there is none. If you like classical music or paintings you will love this show. If you like both, you will be stoned. Not to miss....
