Spectators are totally immersed in the images projected onto all the surfaces of the rock. The ground is completely covered, too, and becomes a vast carpet of images. The site has reopened its doors with the show “Gauguin - Van Gogh, painters of colour”, created by Gianfranco Iannuzzi with Renato Gatto and Massimiliano Siccardi. « less

Impressive art and co-ordinated music.... 10 Euro's entry fee, well worth it. Does get a little chilly in the caves so its a good idea to take one with you,

OK, I thought this was going to be a bit naff, and wasn't overly keen ( the French seem to really love this projection on walls thing they have loads). However I am really glad we went as it was a truly fantastic experience. I believe they do a different show every year, Klimt's art really suits the show and... More

what a lot of emotion for 10euros! this was an incredible experience. we arrived at 9:30 and so it was relatively quiet, very small queue etc, (later in the day it becomes extremely busy, as does the entire area around les baux). breathtaking images, atmosphere and music. a real triumph and a perfect use of such a cavernous and blank... An amazing experience, walking into a mountain and watching a light show on every nook and cranny of the interior walls. We saw the pictures and history of the painter Klimpt.

The reviews do not do adequately describe the experience. The use of modern technology is amazing. The image and sound coordination is remarkable. Standing at the end of main hall gives the greatest impact. Do not miss.

This is well worth the trip - dramatic and beautiful. Very children friendly but keep an eye on them as it can get rather dark!

The show is about an hour. The music and the movement complement the paintings very well. You may stand at any point yet the best views are from lifted area (need to stand there) or from the corner under it (you may sit there on the rocks - just bring with you something to put underneath (paper or plastic bag,... I was lucky as one of the artists displayed this year was Klimt, my favorite! The mix of artworks, ambience and light effects is incredible!

In planning our seven week trip to France I was determined that it would not be an endless series of chateaus and cathedrals. I researched for many months and stumbled upon this attraction. I am so glad that I did. Images of famous paintings are projected, using a hundred projectors, on to the massive limestone walls of a former quarry.... More
