Olive oil in France? Why not! If you like what you do, you get the best out of it and this is obvious on the result.

Thank you very much for writing such a nice comment about us. I like your comment about Olive Oil in France! it is true that France is not known for it, although it was a big producing country a century ago. Today , and you are correct about, people with passion like us have revived this traditional Olive Oil with... More

On our tour of the area CastelaS was one of our scheduled stops. The Hugues born in the region, emigrated to America and lived in Arizona for 15 years before going back home and building their business. Ms Hugue was a delight, very friendly and informative about growing and processing olives for their business. They have a super clean facility... More

Jean-Benoit Hugues and his lovely wife lived for many years in the US, then moved back to France. CastelaS is best know for its delicious gourmet olive oils -- well worth the price -- and sells several speciality varieties:... More

This shop does not include a tour but we did engage in a long conversation with the English speaking co-owner and she provided an educational perspective on olive tree agriculture and olive oil production. Very good product...the Huile D'Olive in particular is worth a stop to buy. This is not a destination stop but if one is touring Les Baux... More

We stopped here during a great day of seeing the sights. Remy took us through the production of the oils - he was a hoot and we enjoyed learning about the process, then tasting their offerings. Moulin CastelaS produces several delicious olive oils, which are available for tasting. We walked out with the extra virgin, black olive oil, olive wood plank and bowl, olive oil hand cream, and an array of specialty tapanades created from ancient Romans recipes. The owner was especially kind and talkative, sharing interesting tid bits of French culture that you can only... More
