This one is tough to review, because it's hard to see animals confined to captivity, but on the other hand, it's amazing to be able to appreciate things close up that you would likely never normally encounter. We felt bad looking at the crocodiles, caymans and other large animals in small, rather sparse looking cages.....in a building that looks like... More

Stopped here because had an hour or so spare in Drumheller and were very glad that we did. Very interesting collection (especially of the monitor lizards, and generally well laid out. Staff helpful and enthusiastic. Only slight complaint - the publicity material seemed rather out of date.

Mixed review for this place - on the one hand, they have a great variety of reptiles and amphibians on display, and it's a great place to take the kids if you want to see some snakes & crocodiles up close. But on the other hand, the displays themselves are small (maybe too small for some of the animals?), appear... More

I had read the mixed reviews of this attraction but was curious enough so we checked it out yesterday It was very informative and interesting but as an adult I saw many things lacking in the facility itself. The variety of species is quite impressive which would require specialists or those familiar with the the requirements of the species itself.... More

We loved reptile world - such a great variety of reptiles. Well set out and easy to view. The owner obviously looks after the reptiles and really cares about them. He brings a boa constrictor out for you to hold and lets you take a photo with your own camera. Great t shirts for sale.

We went with small children, teenagers and a lady in her 80s. We were ama ed at all we saw and got to hold a small boa.We all loved it and would be back again. Shop is small but we still found stuff to buy. A must see

I just can't help but feel bad for some of the reptiles. For example, the giant alligator (or crocodile, excuse my lack of reptile knowledge) sitting in a barren and lifeless pool just makes me feel so bad for that creature.. Instead of being entertained or anything. Also, when we were there, it just so happened to be that there... More

great variety of snakes, and the animal handler was super friendly. our 3-year-old enjoyed her visit, and I liked touching the boa constrictor. the store didn't have any educational toys or books, mostly t shirts and stuffed animals.

When we 1st went in after paying what I thought was an exorbitant admission price, I thought "what a rip-off" however, after seeing the wealth of exhibits and my children having the opportunity to hold an un-named young boa, I changed my mind. The staff was friendly and informative, and my kids had a great time.

I remembered going here when I was about 10 years old and holding a snake by the name of Sophie. I was surprised at how warm she was and this left a lasting impression with me. When we returned to Drumheller about 25 years later, we decided to check it out again. We were really impressed with how their collection... More
