This is a great place to bring your families to art entertainment at very reasonable costs. I learned pottery making and took a few painting classes here. Attended music recitals and many students performances here. Yoga and dance classes as well. Come here for summer concerts at the Deer Lake park right outside - the VSO, the jazz festivals and... Live theater and Art/music Classes - I personally enjoy the live theater shows at the Cowan which has more seating or the small theater for a more intimate feel

This is a great facility. It hosts many events from concerts to art shows. When in the Deer lake area we always drop in for a coffee and to see what events are upcoming. Every year in May the Burnaby Rhodo festival is held here and surrounding the building are some of the finest Rhodo's in the area. Don't miss... More

I have visited this centre since 12 years ago. My son began his piano lessons and always came to this centre to take his RCM piano exam. Also, we visited to attend city run festival or events for families. Some of my children's music teachers ( piano and violin) rented studios to host recitals. The centre also offer catering and... The Shadbolt Centre for the Arts is located in Deer Lake Park between the Burnaby Art Gallery and the Burnaby Village Museum. It is a lovely open architectural design set in a wonderfully serene location overlooking Deer Lake. We enjoyed the art and exhibits located throughout the building, particularly some of the children's art located in the little Encores Café... More

The art here is nice to look at but you can take in a Theatre and have lunch at Encores too. They have a good selection of Coffee drinks and when the Theatre is on you can get Beer and Wine. Shadboldt Centre has Concerts in the Park and People get married here too.

Dramatics, dance and music are one of the few activities you can get your kids engaged into here. Plus it is a great setting to relax and enjoy the beautiful park while you wait as a parent...!

An amazing building with super design and architecture. The local theatre puts on excellent travelling and local pro/amateur productions. On the weekends this place is being used by all types of social groups and children wanting to learn how to dance or ballet. The theatre experience is wonderful.
