Perfect for any family activities right in the centre of Burnaby. Walk, bike, picnic, relaxing, swim and water park (seasonal), pitch and pud, feed the ducks, try the obstical course. Right on the Expo line Sky Train - Patterson station.

There is a big playground for children, many trails to walk or jog, big old trees, lakes and many squirrels and birds. The Patterson SkyTrain station is right by the park, throw off the chains of consumerism and don't get off at Metrotown station, instead spend few hours in a beautiful park.

This large city park is bordered by high rise condos and residential areas and surrounded by busy streets, but is big enough to find peace & quiet as well as shade on a hot summer's day. Swangard Stadium offers soccer games, public tennis courts offer opportunities for a workout, and a variety of trails provide for anything from a leisurely... More

Beautiful park and ideal for walk. On last day of the year the lake is frozen and the birds walked on top frozen water.

this is a huge park in the middle of Burnaby. there are so many walking and running trails if you are into it you can go for miles, but may not be too safe when it's dark at night. Also a couple of kid parks so good for kids. Overall good park for the city

We go there regularly for walks and even picnics in the summer. Family-friendly place with long level walking trails. The only downside is the poor state of the washroom facilities.

I live within waling distance, but used to take the bus here before I moved to the area. In the pond close to Imperial Street there are herons, turtles and ducks sharing waterspace. I love animals and like to buy peanuts from a grocery store and to feed the squirrels in the park. SOME OF THEM WILL TAKE THE NUTS... More

Once, this park was all the hype in trying to catch the elusive #Snakehead Fish. Locals would flock around the lake area hoping to get a glimpse. Amidst the long and winding kid-friendly trail, the park ends on a neat refuge from the city. All year round , this park is a little-best-kept secret destination. Not long after the notorius... Central Park, as the name implies, is near the population center of the lower mainland, and easily accessible by Skytrain, so useful for locals and visitors alike. There is a children's playground, ponds for relaxing, a horseshoe pitch, even pitch n putt golf. However, the favourite of many is the trail network. Whether you walk, jog, or run, there are... Walking trails are good, well marked and safe. It is well treed so very cool on a hot day. Lots of areas for children to play and everyone loves thebut no food is sold on the park grounds. The pitch and putt is not well marked if you enter the park from the parking lot off of kingsway. That parking... More
