While it's not fair to compare to Vancouver downtown's Stanley Park, this is the next best for the suburb. We usually come here for the summers for volleyball on the grass side by East 49th Ave. quite large, you can spend an hour or two here.

Fabulous park right next to Swanguard Stadium with 5k of running trails and outdoor workout stations. Lots of picnic space, too.

Beautiful place to go for a run or a walk. We had an event at Swangard Stadium and loved having a place to escape to between events.

Nice park for running with duck ponds, exercise equipment and various other amenities. With any other park I would suggest running with a partner or in a group.

It's like forest in the middle of the city. Nice for relaxing especially for biking. Parking is hard though.

This park is a jewel amidst our city, right on the border of Burnaby and Vancouver. It has wonderful trail to walk along, jog, or bike ride. Lots of squirrels dancing back and forth hoping for a hand-out, you might see a coyote standing atop a pile of dirt destined to be used on the lovely pitch and putt golf... More

Whether you're there for a picnic/bbq (weather permitting), a nice woodland walk, a bike ride or taking the kids to the playground, going to Central Park is sure to be a hit with the family. We go there all the time. There are a couple of small playgrounds scattered throughout the park and a big one with a water park feature... More

Central park is the perfect place for running, picknics, swiming, riding a bike, playground for kids, playing soccer, walking, taking a break, ioga, etc etc. Calm, very beautiful and big (but not gigantic). Trees shadow in the summer reduce the temperature just a few degrees which brings a better climate sensation there. Sky train station almost inside makes easier the... More

We were in the area Sunday morning and was surprised at how big the park really was. It has a stadium, lakes, swimming pools, picnic tables and lots of trails. There wereots of activities. People practicing Taichi, people walking, running . There was even a group at the stadium that was singing and it looked like they were getting ready... More
