My husband & I were camping & thought an ice cream would be great. There was a line up ok we will wait. 1st lady had an ice cream no napkin then the girl took her money, no hand washing or gloves she then made a wrap using here hands with all the fillings. Served 5 more ice creams, took... More

The view, the food, the service ... all STELLAR !!! Not much fishing going on that evening ... tide was really ripping ... but the Ling Cod & Chips was melt-in-your-mouth great .. as was the outstanding portions of creamy ice cream ... with EXCEPTIONAL service with a smile and kind words, despite a line-up of people! 5 stars!!!!!

The pier itself is great and the people I have met there are the best. But after seeing three large Halibut in open bins sitting in the sun. And then finding out that they had been this way for more than four hours without being gutted or put on ice, I was appalled to see the kids working there telling... More

This is an awesome place to visit. Long pier along the ocean. There is a snack shack that has HUGE ice cream cones. A child size is a large one scoop anywhere else. Lots of seating. Sit back and watch the cruise ships and freighter ships pass close by. You can fish off the pier. The largest salmon this year... More

Great place to go for an ice cream and watch the cruise ships. Also just a nice relaxing stroll. Bring a sweeter can be chilly.

Nice way to spend an afternoon - alone or with family and friends. Close and personal with the ocean and a great view of Quadra and Discovery Passage. You can fish off the pier and of course have the best ice cream - choices are plenty. I say here that I was here in August of last year but truthfully... More

We wandered down Discovery Pier and shared a 2 piece halibut with fries. WOW I have never seen pieces of fish that big! Amazingly flaky and delicious, I enjoyed every bite - but there was so much good my husband and I couldn't finish! All for under $20. I would highly recommend Discovery Pier for a real west coast fish... More

We heard from the locals they served up a big ice cream and were they right. The single cone we enjoyed was massive, delicious, perfect on a hot day and lots of flavors. We'd never been here before but it will be a guaranteed pitstop next time we are in town. The folks enjoying fish and chips said they were... More

One will find the very best ice cream with an abundant serving for a small price. The fish and chips, wraps and summer slammer are the best. A very popular place to visit with fishing permitted off the pier.
