We wandered down Discovery Pier and shared a 2 piece halibut with fries. WOW I have never seen pieces of fish that big! Amazingly flaky and delicious, I enjoyed every bite - but there was so much good my husband and I couldn't finish! All for under $20. I would highly recommend Discovery Pier for a real west coast fish... More

We heard from the locals they served up a big ice cream and were they right. The single cone we enjoyed was massive, delicious, perfect on a hot day and lots of flavors. We'd never been here before but it will be a guaranteed pitstop next time we are in town. The folks enjoying fish and chips said they were... More

One will find the very best ice cream with an abundant serving for a small price. The fish and chips, wraps and summer slammer are the best. A very popular place to visit with fishing permitted off the pier.

The size of the ice cream cone servings is shocking to say the least. I ordered two baby cones and still had lots of ice cream, be hungry if you are ordering regular or larger. The ice cream had about 18 flavors and they also offer frozen yogurt. The Yogurt servings were smaller . We never had the Fish and... More

We live in beautiful campbell river and waking this pier never gets old. It's enjoyable year round. I have seen whales, seals etc. as well as watching fishermen pull in salmon, the food kiosk makes the Best fish and chips, and has great ice cream, enjoyed by locals, if your visiting put it at the top of your list.

We stopped at the pier as part of a casual walking tour of downtown Campbell River. The pier has a small walk-up restaurant that offers good coffee and very good ice cream. We have been told that the fish and chips are great, but can't comment as we did not get them. The pier gives you a good and interesting... More

Great Ice Cream and Fish and Chips. Very convenient. You can get your fishing license and rent poles right on the pier. We didn't catch any salmon but had a fun day. It does not cost to just walk on the pier.

...is it really an attraction? You can get ice-cream and snacks there and, if you are an avid fisherman it probably a nice place to fish. Clean and well maintained. We spent 10 minutes there before the kids were bored.

If you are in Campbell River, I think you can't miss it! Take a stroll on the pier and LATER have your ice cream. I guarantee you, that is the best way to go!! If you take your ice cream with you on the pier, it will be all over you!! Yes, the wind does that!!
