An unforgettable afternoon. We booked the 4-hour Wildlife Tour and didn't really expect to see whales. But we had a fantastic view of a family of Orcas, and saw a Humpback whale. Best of all was Garry's passion for wildlife and nature - we are so glad we chose Aboriginal Journeys. Mike & Gill, UK

Garry was a great captain with a lot of experience. His boat has the perfect size with appr. 12 persons. It is small, but has seats inside and a good place outside for pictures. We saw orcas, a black bear with cubs, bald eagles and harbor seals.

What a great experience! Garry was frank about what we would see, and how circumstances would provide or not. On this beautiful day, Garry piloted us to a humpback whale, and we got to see it clearly. We enjoyed a very private lunch on the beach of an uninhabited island, then cruised around a rocky islet where dozens of seals... More

It was a great afternoon. How with the flow and see what nature wants you to see. Gary is a great guy and knows a lot about the sea and nature. He has a lot of experience and respect for all. A good sense of humour and the best humble photographer he knows. I wished I brought a good camera.... More

My friend and I visited Campbell River a few months ago and took up this tour with Gary. We were both extremely impressed with how much Gary knew about the area and the in-depth knowledge about Grizzly Bears. I loved how extremely passionate he is about the Grizzly Bears and how his passion is to share that with others. This... More

Gary who runs Aboriginal Journeys is a very passionate and committed person who tries to abide by rules set out by the indian people. This trip lasted approximately 8 hours and started with a boat trip from Campbell River across to the main land to a logging area, where we ate a sandwich lunch which was catered for us. We... More

There are no guarantees, of course, and it's a long trip from Campbell River to the mainland and back, but we enjoyed the voyage and when we got to the bear-viewing platform were lucky enough to see grizzly triplets with their mother at the first station we reached. Subsequently, from the boat, we saw another two grizzlies and on the... More

Highlight of our trip to Canada. It's relatively expensive compared to other activities, but considering the time involved and the experience it was worth every penny. Visited on the 5th of September which is pretty much bang on bear season for the area. Saw 10 individual bears, including 2 separate sow and cub families. Got to spend 30 mesmerising minutes...
