Not only beautiful, but a solemn and reverent homage to faith. I was fortunate enough to be a part of a group that did a spiritual retreat. Apart from the teachings, and the silence, the location was so amazing to allow one to be still and quiet for once. Away from the noise of the outside world, you can hear... More

The ride up to the grounds is breath taking as it is all up hill. The the structure is not medieval its appeal lies in the concrete walls and ceiling which if you are lucky ...to attend the Vesper's .....religious chants. The Abbey is a teaching facility for those who have been called to the vocation... The grounds are open... More

Stopped by here after a trip to Cascade Falls Regional Park. The Abbey is situated atop a hill just east of Mission. The scenic grounds are open to the public. A great place for a quiet walk or for a photo outing.

Wonderful Huge towering Abbey. Over looking all of Mission over towards Abbotsford or also over looking the mountains. There is a trail you can walk down it leads to a look out view of the city and over across to Abbotsford and the Fraser river. Spectacular view on a clear day. We had a few picnics there just below on... More

This is a must see in Mission. Unique cathedral run by the Benedictine monks. For a sweeping view of the valley take the short walk out to the lookout. Just follow the gravel path. You can also reserve accomodation here with breakfast.

This is a beautiful location, well worth a visit. the Abbey itself is fascinating, and the property is beautiful. Take the walk down to the edge of the cliff and look at how the Fraser Valley came to be!

Took my visiting family to see the Abby, must say it was beautiful. The garden well kept, the chapel was extraordinary and the senior monk, if I can say that was so very friendly and informative. A must see, especially the spectacular view of Mission from the top of the hill, don't miss that part.! Just make sure if you... More
