Whitewater is one of the best small town resorts in Canada. I moved 1000 kilometers for this place last season and it was well worth the journey! The powder is incredible, the people are warm and friendly, and the food is delectable. The town of Nelson is a mere 15 minutes away, and it's full of unique buildings, shops, and... more

I've been skiing at Whitewater since it opened back in the mid 70's and I never get tired of the world famous snow. If you want a big mountain feel, drive up the road an hour to Red. If you are looking for a small mountain with a big heart, Whitewater is for you. Everyone walks into the lodge for... more

Why go to whistler and deal with outrageous ticket prices and expensive food and long lift lines for some heavy coastal snow? Whitewater holds the secret for powder hounds with tons of white fluffy kootenay gold!! Whitewaters limited drive time from the beautiful and friendly town of Nelson is the way to go. I went once quit my job and... more

This was my first year living in Nelson. I came here to study Ski Resort Operations and Management as well to ride some of the legendary powder. Whitewater delivered more then I could have ever hoped for. I had a chance to tour the Powder Highway and see some of the big mountains that BC has to offer and all... more

Small, family oriented hill with some of the best touring and tree skiing anywhere. Dubbed the "Mecca" by powder magazine, WH2O boasts some of the highest quality snow in the world that comes in regular dumps of over 30cm. A short drive from the town of Nelson, B.C. where you will find accomodation, eating and nightlife for anyone's style and... more

Nelson's friendly locals give easy and reliable access to whitewater ( if you get up early enough) at the city limits hitching spot as well as backtracking to the lodge after choking on face shot after face shot of beautiful Backside Run. The only thing that rivals the quality of the snow at Whitewater is the Quality of the Food.... more

If you like deep snow, steep tree lines, and access to some fantastic lift assisted backcountry, Whitewater is for you. As soon as the tracks get skied out in bounds, people head for the hills to track out the backcountry. Many of the lift access backcountry feed back into the ski resort, so its a quick ski down to the... more

There aren't many places in B.C. that capture the spirit of outdoor enthusiasts much like Whitewater Resort and the surrounding area. Unless you experience it for yourself there is no way to accurately describe the atmosphere in this area. Whitewater resort is a throwback to when skiing was pure and intense, when skiers were interested in skiing instead of the... more

Powder hounds rejoice! You will feel at home on the slopes of Whitewater. Just a short distance from the funky town of Nelson, B.C. Whitewater has some of the best runs for lovers of deep powder with less of the silly flash of bigger resorts. You'll also be pleased with one of the best cafes of any ski hill. Yummy... more
