The course is in pretty good shape considering it is on the side of a mountain in an area with a relatively short season. The fairways are narrow, lined with pines and varied. There are a number of rock, sand and hole configurations - every hole is different. There are several holes with lovely views of the lake. You can... More

This is property has a fantastic view of Nelson and Kootenay Lake. The course is well kept and the greens run true. The course is challenging due to lots of vertical but is very enjoyable.

The course has breath taking views on almost every hole! The best part was the green tees! Great for beginners like myself! Awesome deals too!!!

Course was in great shape and a nice course to play. The one review said they had quit after hole 12 because 10,11,12 fairways were bumpy. They should have kept playing because after hole 12 (on the back nine) it was in wonderful shape. I will definitely play this course again.

We got a half price deal. Front 9 is undulating. But back 9 requires repeated trips up and down a steep mountain, so a cart is recommended. Excellent cart and golf.

During our recent 2.5 week vacation in northern Montana and BC we played eight different courses. Some were admittedly upscale (Eagle Ranch and Grey Wolf) but some were not (Balfour). This is definitely on the lower end in many terms. The worst part were the bumpy fairways that made riding in the power carts a bone-rattling experience no matter the... More

This is a pretty challenging course in places, with fantastic views down the lake and across to the mountains. A motorised cart is highly recommended as it is a stiff walk otherwise, with some tough uphill sections.

Some people might not like the view overlooking a golf course, but the mountain backdrop and the greenery more than make up for it. While the service was a tad slow (only one server on duty at lunch time), the food was as good as you can expect at a public golf club. The presentation was excellent and the food,... More

One of my favorite places to play golf, not sure if it is the views or just the fact that whenever I get to play here it reminds me of how much I love going home.

Have only been here for a few weddings, but the views are fantastic and the food is just as good! Very spacious always friendly service. Great place to sit for lunch before hitting the back 9. Perfect for large functions.
