Has one of the best playparks around! The park has an amazing beach (in the summer), is host to sandcastle building competitions, has beach volleyball courts (tons of them), skate park, ball diamonds - pretty much has it all! Pack a picnic and spend the day here with your kids.

The park has lots of parking, beautiful expanses of lawn and shady picnic areas, a super long picture perfect boardwalk, and the biggest coolest playground we have visited. Our kids (4, 7, 11) all had fun and we could have stayed for hours enjoying the view and getting some relax time while they played. There is a big concession stand... More

Parksville is one of our favourite places to visit -- anytime of the year but in the summer this beach is rockin'. The annual sand castle competition is an absolute must !! It's hard to imagine how artists carve incredible stories from sand in such a short amount of time. There's a small entrance fee to help with costs and... More

This is the biggest playground I've ever seen. Lots for toddlers and preschoolers, but enough to keep older kids happy too. Spray park is pretty good too. Concession stand and washrooms easily accessible. Lots of shade and picnic tables

Wicked little park and splash park for the kids. Need to let them loose for while? do it here! Go walk the beach, check out the sandcastles and have fun. Pack a picnic! Hot sunny days when the tide goes out it's unbelievable how warm the water gets!

This place was so much more then what I expected. Fantastic place for the kids. See Kevin for hiring of fun water sport activities. He was so helpful and friendly. Beach - HUGE, when the tide was out, it went on and on! Not smooth, white sand but still good enough to spend hours and hours on it. There were... More

There's a huge playground for kids of all ages, the skate park, lovely gardens and picnic areas under the trees, or on the beach. There's a seaside path for strolling, culminating at a meditation path. When we were there, the sandcastles were on display, and this is definitely something to take in if you're in the area at the right... More

This is a well-maintained community park. The events that are put on in this park are for everyone, from KidsFest (Aug. 10, 2014), today, to Sandcastles, and the Lions water park for children. Also an adult free exercise area with lots of different types of equipment. Flowers and benches galore and a boardwalk to stroll along. My favourite. The beautiful... More

This is a lovely park on the coast with beach access and a boardwalk. They have a cute play structure for kids and concession stand for snacks. We happened to be in Parksville during their annual sand sculpting competition and exhibition. What an amazing thing to see. Artist are given 3 days to create an inspiring work of art. It... More
