Granted this place was difficult to find - but what a find! There are outdoor attractions which we skipped as we were here for the cheese. There were over ten types of cheese to try - all self-serve. It was difficult to limit our purchases to only two cheeses as we were traveling. The wine tasting was also free and... More

My girlfriend and I stopped in at Little Qualicum Cheeseworks to have a picnic lunch and check the place out. We love their cheese so it was neat to see where it comes fun. They really have things to do for people of all ages. For the adults, there is wine and cheese tasting. For the kids, there is a... More

We visited Morningstar Farm as part of a shore excursion on our recent visit to Nanaimo with Celebrity Cruises. We very much enjoyed the very authentic experience provided by the welcoming staff of Morningstar Farm, Little Qualicum Cheeseworks and MooBerry Winery. The excursion was quite extensive. The owner of the farm welcomed our group as we arrived. We were given... More

We were recommended to try this place by some local folks for their fruit wines. When we got there, we were confused at first because the MooBerry Winery building was closed. We walked around and then realized that their wine and cheese tasting is in their general gift store (in the back area). Their wine-tasting was free, I really loved... More

Open farm with a half hour walk around the pastures with a foragers map for children. Petting zoo with bunnies, sheep and a goat. And it's all free! Wine and cheese tasting at the end. The cheese is incredible. I might go back tomorrow to buy more. Lovely people and a lovely farm. Definitely worth a visit.

This is cute for kids to spend some time with the animals There are cows and goats and chickens. They can do a self guided tour. There are maps and activity pages available. For the adults, there are numerous cheese to taste and wine to try. They are friendly and helpful to answer questions you may have.

I visited the farm with a 7 and 8 year old yesterday. It was really lovely. It's a self lead visit. The animals are accessible for interaction. The place has put together a scavenger hunt for kids that is really fun. There are sheep and goats you can talk to and pet in a big field, rabbits in a little... More

Gotta admit...came here specifically for the cheese curd, wonderful, best curd in B.C. Many other cheese choices here also, and lots of samples. Also like the Rathtrevor cheese and Brie. Can get Little Qualicum cheeses in grocery places in the area but interesting to come directly to the source.

Cheeseworks is good family fun, especially for city/town families with young children. It's great to see how the farm works, and the baby animals are always popular. The cheese is good, but not spectacular. Average tasting, but very interesting choices. The gift shop is small, but quite nice. We stayed for only 30 minutes (we have no kids), but we... More
