A small national park near Revelstoke (entry fee payable) with a spectacular winding drive to the summit car park. Then you can walk a trail or on the road or take the shuttle bus to the actual summit at elevation 1935 metres. From there there are several trails you can walk and the views are spectacular and if you are... More

Road is in good condition -- pretty drive up -- several nice viewpoints to take a break. We didn't hike past the parking lot at the top, so we didn't get to the very top. (We would have liked to take the shuttle up, but no dogs allowed, and we weren't going to leave in a hot car. Too many... More

When your each to top of the meadows in the sky parkway, there is a shuttle that will take you the last 1 km to the top. Unfortunately it was not running, and there was not clear signage indicating the terrain of the trail to the top. We are avid hikers, but saw people attempting to push baby strollers, carrying... The drive up the mountain is twisty and turny and takes about 30 minutes. Trails head out in all directions from the parking lot. From here you can take the shuttle bus (when running) to the upper area where they are more trails and great views. We were there right at the start of the wildflowers blooming (they had a... More

We drove up here in the early evening, which was perfect! There were only a few other people there and so it was quiet and easy to get around. The views from the top were absolutely worth the drive and walk up! We could have spent a lot more time up there. Mosquitos are definitely around so take some bug... More

It's a long drive up, but it's worth it! We stopped at the first few lookout areas but after that its the same view so we just went to the top. It was super hot out when we arrived so we took the shuttle to the top. Then we just walked a few of the more popular trails. The mosquitos... More

omg, so many mosquitos and horse flies!!! Take bug spray!!! The view is really something to behold though. You are on top of the world and the alpine flowers are beautiful. Worth the beautiful drive up the mountain.

We arrived a little early in the season, end of June 2014, snow still covered the top and we had to walk the last five km to the top parking area. Was a nice walk from warmth to cool. We were able to see a frozen lake. Wonderful views of the area.

Beautiful drive up in to Revelstoke National Park for great views of Revelstoke and surrounding area. We drove as far as the road was open (due to snow) to Monashee lookout. We took about an hour for the drive there and back, including time to admire the views. We'll worth the detour!

I have no doubt when this road is fully open the views are fantastic but unfortunately in May it is only open to about the second viewpoint(Monashee) and the view from here is nothing special as it is not very high. So my advice is if you are here to visit in late May just after the parkway opens don't... More
