We are so thankful to have had the opportunity to have skied with GNPG. The whole operation was professional and fun. We felt the leader and the tail guides were extremely competent at what they do. Safety and fun was most important for all level of skiers. To find a better cat ski organization would be hard to do. If... More

I have been visiting Great Northern Snowcat since the mid 80's on almost an annual basis. Most times with a group of friends or family but also solo. Great Northern (GN) makes you feel at home at their lodge which only accommodates about 15 guests per week. This assures of a cozy lodge atmosphere where social interaction is easy. The... More

We got the whole enchilada on our first ever Snow Cat Skiing experience. On our good friends advice we booked with Great Northern and got the cream of the crop, cozy lodge, expert guides, 1 snow cat (translates to our group was the only ones on the mountain), and plenty of fresh pow! Make sure you bring your camera and... More

Twenty two years ago my wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary by booking a powder ski experience with Great Northern. We haven't missed a year since and each year has been better than the previous. The "digs" are very comfortable & the foods great. Guiding is done with an eye to safety first but always gives the skier... More

First time powder skiing. I took my 14 year old son with me. For the first day I was very grateful to have a tail-guide as well as the lead-guide: I needed assistance to get up from the deep powder. Also happy to have the benefits of her experience in terms of managing the deep powder. I also enjoyed the... More

For great powder skiing in a spectacular setting, Great Northern can't be beat. Personal care and attention is given to every detail in this small group setting, from comfortable facilities to five-star meals to a single snowcat group of skiers. This is skiing for purists, and it's pure heaven for snow and terrain quality. And unlike helicopters, there are no... More

I have been skiing at Great Northern every year for close to 20 years. The experience has been consistently awesome with exceptional powder skiing and a great "people experience" including staff and other guests.

From the moment I arrived until I left, one week later, I had a fabulous adventure skiing the Selkirk Wilderness. The staff welcomed us paying close attention to detail in the Lodge and providing great mountaineering skill in exploring the backcountry. I'm looking forward for my return visit again when the snow flies.

My brother and I started coming to Great Northern in 1993 and have been returning each year since. It is truly a magical place. The snow is almost always exceptional, the terrain is fabulous, and the staff is incredibly professional and fun. I have been heli-skiing and snow cat skiing at a number of different places in BC and the... More

We have spent one week at Great Northern every winter for almost 20 years. The skiing is outstanding, the scenery breath-taking, the staff and guides fun to be with (and very responsible), and the food delicious. The accommodations are comfortable and encourage having fun with the group, but you can also find privacy if you like. Over the years, it... More
