This is a fantastic park to visit for everyone. There are easier trails that make for a beautiful walk along the stream for the leisurely folks, and there are tougher, steeper trails for the more athletic hikers. If you are really feeling adventurous, try to climb Jacob's ladder, straight to the top, but a word of advice... Don't.. look.. down!!... More

We had read a little about this park ahead of our visit. We were very happy that we chose to visit on a somewhat rainy day. We really didn't want to head out on a real long hike due to the "iffy" weather the day we visited. There were lots of options for shorter hikes here. A lot of the... More

This is a beautiful park , we were there when the leaves were changing and there was a lot of color. There a lots of trails to choose from and they are very well marked. We hiked for several hours and found each trail had something different to offer you. There are bathrooms and picnic tables also. I wish I... More

A great series of linear trails sorting through a variety of different types of trees and structures (swings - out buildings etc...) Whe we were there it was raining and there was still a wedding photo shoot going on. A good location for a dry picnic.

We decided to spend some time at this park on a "rest" day during our hectic three week tour of Nova Scotia. The park was very busy as it was the last day of the holiday season but there is enough space for everyone to enjoy whatever they chose to do. We climbed Jacobs Ladder and walked to Waddell Falls... This park is spectacular based on its proximity to the town of Truro (walking distance from everywhere). It has great hiking and walking trails. The stream that runs through is clean and provides great photo options... the trees provide shade but when I visited the trees had turned its colors... great spot...

Although not "outstanding", Victoria Park was nice for a municipal park. We enjoyed the water falls and the hiking trails.

We stopped at this park on our way to Sydney from Halifax so didn't have a whole lot of time to spend. There are well marked trails. We walked a shorter trail to the waterfall (it's a very small waterfall so don't expect anything grand) and then the 1k stroll to the lookout (the lookout was actually disappointing). If you...
