Not much to see on it's own but Block House Island, the Park the plane sits on is a great place to spend an afternoon

Always a little cooler down in the breeze, out on the island itself there is nothing stopping the breeze. Hot summer afternoons are busy with boats and tourists, lots to look at...

If you visit the Island then you will see this. The area is nice for a visit but this on it's own is not worth a special trip.

If you want to see a jet at the top of a tree near the boats, you really need to see this place. Brockville is a such beautiful place that this place deserves your visit. You will be able to pay a tribute to the sacrifice of the canadian airmen.

It is so sad yet so gratifying to see the F-86 "Golden Hawk". Certainly brings back a few memories of the early jet fighter days. The entire Brockville area is steeped in history especially, the waterfront and the island where F-86 sits on it's pedestal. Well worth a visit.

Planes on a pedestal, a little sad when I remember seeing these beautiful Golden Hawks in action. Beautiful lines, and a history as a great performer.

The Golden Hawk F86 has been a Brockville waterfront fixture for a very long time. This is an example of the Heritage this companies easily displays when it comes to making sure this country keeps the freedom earned over the last 200 years.

... the RCAF Golden Hawks were Canada's pre-eminent flight demonstration team. On a spit of land beside the Brockville marina, an F-86 Sabre painted in the Golden Hawks famed colours has been mounted atop a pole beside an information panel that gives a brief synopsis of the team's history. The Sabre's stored past includes serving the US Air Force combatting... More

While we were in Brockville for the annual Ribfest and to watch the cigarette boats race past on the St. Lawrence River we took a walk through the park where this jet is on display. I remember when I was a kid watching the Golden Hawks aerobatic air show on more than one occasion so seeing one of the original... More
