I had the opportunity to take Richard's 1 week long workshop at the Woodlawn a few years ago. I must admit my review is rather late. However, Richard is a down to earth guy who is willing to share his knowledge and expertise. The entire workshop was well run from the great photographic venues, the ambiance in which it was... I just spent Mothers Day weekend at a photography workshop with Richard Martin at the Woodlawn Inn in Cobourg. From beginning to end, it was a great mixture of photographic opportunities, collaborative learning, warm hospitality and great food. I highly recommend the experience and hope to repeat it in the near future. Susan C.

I finally had the opportunity to meet Richard Martin and Charlene Kenna. After reading some of his articles for the last few years, in addition to , seeing his photographs I had hoped to be inspired. I was not let down. Richard can only be described as a dynamic, energetic in his teaching and efforts to assist the student in... More

This was our first photography workshop, and to be honest, we were a bit intimidated by the prospect of having our photos shown and discussed by what we thought would be a group of advanced and exacting enthusiasts. However, all that vanished the minute Richard welcomed us to the workshop and introduced us to our six co-participants. They were no... More

I’m a great admirer of Richard Martin’s (and Charlene Kenna’s) work so I decided to make the trip from Rhode Island to Cobourg for the workshop. It was a long drive but worth every minute. The workshop was an amazing learning experience and I hope to do another again soon. The Woodlawn Inn is absolutely charming and the food is... More

Having taken the Richard Martin Workshop at Cobourg’s Woodlawn Inn, I can say it was an experience I’d highly recommend. Richard’s approach to photography helped me to develop my own individualistic style. The facilities at the Woodlawn are very comfortable and the food was excellent! The Woodlawn’s, Stephen Della Casa, made sure that all guests felt welcome and that all... More

A great Inn full of nastaglia of the Northumberland area. My room was spacious and clean, it gave me the feeling of being home away from home. The food was in abundance and very delicious...kudos to the chef for a gastromical every evening. Stephen Della Casa and staff made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay during... Richard Martin's photography course was the best money ever spent on photography. I learned so much it was like studying with a master for a year condensed into 3 days. If you take only one course choose this one, you will not be dissapointed. The course was held at the Woodlawn Inn in Cobourg the most wonderful inn and fine... More
