Great beach ....can get crowded in summer peak times. Great concerts on Tuesday summer nights, couple of great festivals. Really enjoyable in fall or evenings

Even in the winter, Cobourg Boardwalk is a delight but wrap up! The each covered in snow, the waves freezing as they slap into shore are beautiful to watch. Summer is around the corner and then the world decides we have 'one of the best beaches in Ontario'. It's a 4 season beach and well worth the visit.

This beach was famous when I was young for seaweed, dead fish and bad smells. Someone has done an amazing job since then cleaning it up and developing it - I think it is the best between Toronto and Montreal now, with Sandbanks and Presquille on a good day in close competition, although lacking the easy access and services. It... More

The Cobourg beach is a hidden gem. It is close enough to Toronto for a day trip but if you want to make a weekend of it there is lots of accommodation close by. The beach is clean, lifeguards are on duty & there is lots of beach to set up your beach chairs. Almost like being in some exotic... More

Beautiful sandy beach on Lake Ontario. Right beside a marina and a trailer park, and a nice park with a stage and food court. Lovely town with lots to do.

I was in Cobourg for a photography workshop, and we went several times to the beach to photograph, rain or shine! The beach area includes much sand, lifeguard chairs, colorful children's playground, and more. There is a lighthouse nearby. The beach faces south towards Rochester NY, and the sunrises can be wonderfully golden.

What a great little beach! It is hidden right in the heart of this prosperous little lakeside town. On a hot summer weekend day it seems like everyone in town goes to this beach. People are swimming, sunning, throwing balls, kicking balls, picnicking, visiting, reading,or just hanging around. There is a convenient ice cream shop on a nearby street and... More

Great beach, empty on week days, pleasantly busy weekends. Lots of food and grassy areas nearby. Walk to shopping and everything from a chip wagon to very good Italian, Thai, Korean/sushi within minutes.

We did a family outing to Cobourg Beach. The beach is well maintained. Loads of space during the week to set up an area for yourself. Food nearby which is handy. The parking isn't too bad for pricing. All and all a good place to take kids.
