It is a wonderful and peaceful place to visit and stroll along either the boardwalk or the beach. Cobourg has upgrade extensively the whole Waterfront from the Marina to the beach. There lots of festivals and activities to do and see while there. The new play area with mini water park for the kids is always filled with kids enjoying... More

The Northumberland Players have produced another huge hit with All The King’s Women. This extremely talented, enthusiastic, creative group of players have once again struck a high note with this production. The quaint and pretty little town of Cobourg (barely 100 kms. down the 401 west of Toronto) is indeed blessed with an abundance of talented performers, producers and crew.... More

Stopped by for some lunch with family & took some time to see the rest on the town. The beach was very clean & the boardwalk was interesting. Nice place to spend an hour or two.

Better to go during week if you can as it is over run with bus loads of people from the larger metropolis who leave not only their footprints but their trash too. As a local we only go to the beach during the week!

There is no other place quite like Cobourg or its beach. A beautiful serene spot that needs to be seen to be felt. Having just moved here, be sure to check out this post for further pictures and details: https://fourcamelsandacoffeetogo.wordpress.com/2015/05/04/the-friendliest-town-in-canada/

Right downtown, this is a fantastic place to enjoy some time alone or to watch families play. The beach is well groomed and HUGE! Best beach on Lake Ontario between Presqu'ile and Toronto. Right next to the just-as-huge Victoria Park, it's a great spot for a picnic or family reunion too!

Cobourg Waterfront is a great place to go. Its approximately 1 hour east of the GTA. The beach is long and sandy. Large waterfront area for swimmers and sunbathers. There is a play zone for young children. A canteen is available during the summer, and washrooms for its visitors. There is a long cemented walkway to travel from the eastside... More

Cobourg beach is an amazing spot for all ages. The long sandy beach will keep children playing for hours, then cooling off in the water. Lake Ontario is always cold but invigorating in the heat of summer. There is a splash/wading pool for children and a change room. Playground equipment is state of the art and appeals to children of... More
