The forerunner of Muskoka's popularity as a golf destination, par 72 Deerhurst Highlands remains a must-play renowned for its layout which flows naturally through a rugged yet lush landscape of granite outcroppings, deep valleys and heavy forests. Beyond the drama of holes like #10, where tees perch 30 feet above a rock wall, and surprises like a links-style swirl, playability is key throughout this top-rated 7,011-yard challenge. Featuring practice facility, seasonal lounge and comprehensive Golf Academy.

Played course and very much enjoyed it. Very picturesque. Difficult to play the first time, and could use more markers for blind landings areas. Greens had a few marks from people not repairing ball marks but were in very good shape and rolled well. They were tough to play and three putts could be common. Any shots off the fairways... More

Played the Deerhurst Highlands gold course today. I did not play well, but it has a very magnificent layout. Lots of elevation changes, and in very good shape. I would say that I'm glad I played, but not likely to be eager to play again. The course is in great shape, the greens rolled reasonably consistent...even if they were a... More

Loved it. Played at 4:00 PM with my 14 year old and was surprised to find out he was free, so for $85.00 we both got to play a fabulous course. I have seen a few negative reviews about the layout etc. Personally I loved it. The course was in great shape, the greens were tough but fair. I really... More

Don't be fooled by the short yardage. At about 4600 yards you might think you are in for a stroll in the park. Wrong! Water, undulating greens, sand combine to provide a serious challenge to all but really good golfers. It's a pretty course, well-groomed (but a lot of goose poop) and you won't likely play 18 holes with the... More

I usually travel to deerhurst resort during the labour day weekend as the resort has great facilities and has something for everyone in the family. I was particularly impressed with the front desk especially Navneet who helped us to get the right accommodation. This particularly helpful as customer service of skyline vacation club booked a condo accommodation which turned out... More

Everyone at the club was super nice and helpful. The two ice cold bottles of water included with the golf cart was a nice touch and greatly appreciated. We were early, intending to hit a few balls on the practice range but they offered to let us go on our own rather than wait for the other pair, so we... More

Nice little course that is worth the go. There was 8 of us playing and we all enjoyed the course. We have played before and both times it was raining. Would love to return when it is sunny and warm

Some lovely views and hills/valleys. Cart girl could have come around more often (saw her only once).
