I happened to be in the Huntsville area one July afternoon. Since I was in the area, I decided to check out Arrowhead Provincial Park, just a short distance north off of both Muskoka Road 3 and Highway 11. The Stubbs Falls Trail is a must-see in this park, if you like waterfalls. It is a fairly easy trail, leading... More

Day permit $14. Staff at info centre was helpful. Stubbs fall trail was easy, about 30min slow stroll. It was quiet at the Falls around 11am but started to get families with toddlers around noon.. The beach (beach area 1, which also rented out bikes) had calm waters and a gentle sloping shore, and a few picnic table-bench sets. Good... More

We hiked on the Arrowhead park trail and stubb falls trail. The first trail was the longest one in the park, but was not as interesting as we thought - there were wayyyyy too many bugs buzzing around us, to the point where we kept having to jog in order to escape the bugs. My arms became sore from the... More

Large, private sites compared to other parks. Electrical hookup posts are shared between two sites and can be a distance away so bring extra cord but park also rents them at 2.00 per day. Lots of walking trails, swimming, fishing, and kayaking the lakes and river. Very quiet park set some distance back from highway 11. Great place to camp.

This is a lovely park for spending a day on the lake, kayaking , surfing etc. Lovely walks & bicycle routes. Lovely way to spend your day, just pack a picnic and go. Could easily spend a whole day here relaxing or being full of adventure. Only downside were the Mosquitos.

Growing up in the Huntsville area has given me the chance to experience Arrowhead on a regular basis. It is a wonderful provincial park that appeals to the young, the old, and everything in between. I've cross country skied, tobogganed, and skated during the winter months. I've camped, hiked, canoed, biked, and swam there during the warmer ones. I've returned... More

We skiied here 2 or 3 times this winter and found the trails in excellent shape. They are just long enough and with the difficulty level fun we really enjoyed ourselves. The scenery is also quite pretty with fresh snow every where.

Although Arrowhead is a 45-minute drive from my home, it is our default destination for cross-country skiing during the winter months. The trails are always well groomed (if conditions allow) and many are set for classic and skate skiing. Entrance fees are cheap, surroundings really quiet in spite of the park's proximity to Highway 11. We have hiked the trails... More

Great place to camp in a tent or trailer. Large sites most of which are semi-private. Large clean comfort stations and great beaches. If you need camping supplies or canoe rentals google Algonquin Basecamp, a great outfitting company just north of Huntsville.
