Absolutely gorgeous view from the tasting room- overlooking the vineyards. They specialize in Pinot Noir, Riesling and Chardonnay so the majority of their wines are those varietals. At their price point, we do find others in the area preferred. They are average/good wines, but nothing spectacular.

Close to Jordan, its worth the drive to Flatrock. Experience a wine flight (our White Oaks Hotel gave us free flight tasting cards). Of course, we purchased some great bottles, some at reduced prices. Of note, Chardonnay Rusty Shed was fantastic. The panoramic view is beautiful and staff very knowledgeable about wines they pour.

We were a group of 4 that booked a Crush Wine Tour and Flatrock was first on the list. As we approached we found the property beautiful and loved the unique structure of the building. Unfortunately, the tour of the building and tasting as we went felt very rushed (maybe 10minutes) and we used the same glass for all wines.... More

I've been visiting this winery occasionally for 6 years, and my visit last weekend served to remind me why I love it. On a clear day the view out over Niagara region and Lake Ontario is stunning for one thing, and it's a good place to set the tone for a day of wine-tasting. The staff is welcoming and accommodating,... More

Nice, small winery with a stunning view and tasty wines. Ask for a personal tasting to get a nice sampling of wines.

I visited the Niagara region with a group and we were given a tour by Unfiltered Ed (as his handle on Twitter states), which was one of the most favourite parts of the day for me. I LOVE people with passion and am attracted to them like a fly to flypaper. I gravitate toward that passion for one’s work and... More

We've visited Flatrock Cellars many times and each experience has be unique, but equally wonderful. Especially memorable was a visit after a snow storm - as the only visitors, we received a wonderful tour of Flatrock's five-level, gravity-fed winery... Ted, at the tasting bar, is well-informed and entertaining, and has a knack for being attentive, even with several guests simultaneously...and... More

We arrived late morning and were able to spend some quality time. The tour and tasting was relaxed very informative. The tour is highly recommended. The wine is a bit expensive compared to other places visited. We'll let you know the quality in about a year!

Great wines, especially their Riesling and Estate Chardonnay. Ted was very informative and gave helpful tips about the surrounding area. This is in Jordan wine country and as such the wineries miss the mass-operative scale you get in Niagara. All very personable and lovely!

Flatrock has a beautiful tasting room. Perched up high with outdoor sitting overlooking their vineyards, you'd have a hard time finding a better view. The wines are good. The day we were there, Patrick Chan was due to arrive to launch his ice wine at a private reception. The staff seemed a bit distracted by this and could have been... More
