I had a chance to attend a business meeting at the new Google office in downtown Kitchener last week. With my free time, I decided to explore attractions in the area, starting with The Museum as it was conveniently close to the office. I originally wanted to attend the museum on Friday, but upon checking the website, I saw that... More

This is a really nice museum. I wasn't sure what I would think of it as it isn't in a major city but I was pleasantly surprised with it. I think it's worth your time to check it out.

I have had the privilege of being at the Museum several times...the most memorable was this summer when I had my 6 year old grandson in their summer program ...the staff were fabulous and he loved going

A few years ago, a group of people decided that Kitchener needed to do something with all the historical stuff they had been saving up. A museum! If you have been to Chicago, or Toronto --- you better seriously lower your expectations. This is a small museum that tries hard ... and it's a nice little diversion of the area.... More

The entrance to the museum is through double doors to a desk for check in. To the right is a coat room then entrance into the main floor is through a gate. It was DIY experiments but, with help from bright engineering students from University of Waterloo. He was friendly and knowledgable about pH with a pleasant smile. There were... More

This was not a very big museum, it would have been better, if I had kids to bring. However, I still learned a lot and it took about 25 minutes to read all the panels.

I visited the museum with my daughter and two grandsons ages 6 and 8. They enjoyed playing with the large lego. I was disappointed that there wasn't very much for the children to do.

We are members here and love taking our 1.5 year old. We never plan in advance and are always surprised by the great activities they have planned for the kids. Most recently my son got to meet Rosie the baby triceratops and Maverick the T Rex. Great memories!
