Beausoleil Island holds a special place in my heart as I'm also one of the "glamping" people who returns year after year for the YMCA Camp Beausoleil reunion in the fall. It's so beautiful there and so many strong memories of exploring the island as a kid. The staff are always so friendly and helpful and I can't praise them... More

Beausoleil Island is a place I've been visiting since 1970 and will continue to for many more decades. The camp I went to on this island as a kid no longer exists but a group of us hold a weekend reunion there every year. Having Cedar Springs as a home base from which to visit and explore where the camp... More

I camped at Beausoleil Island this summer, and it was so beautiful and I was so excited and because of the party boats that would park and blast music echoing around the bay all night, the trip was deeply disappointing and sad. . I drove over 7hrs to get there from Montreal because I wanted to see where the Group... More

Rented a couples Cabin at Christian Beach for a long weekend. Minus the part that during our arrive we were greeted by a torrential downpour and a wind storm which soaked all of our belongings and a follow up of on and off rain showers for the next 24 hours. None of this is the fault of the Park obviously.... More

This park (the third national park in Canada) was created in 1929 to avoid land grabs on Beausoleil Island. It is part of the world’s largest freshwater archipelago and only accessible by boat.. And that is part of the problem. The park itself is wonderful - it even inspired the Group of Seven. Wilderness camping abounds throughout, with some campsites... More

Beausoleil Island is huge with a network of cabins, camps, docks, beaches and paths that cover the whole island. Check out the official web site for the map and more details. I'm going back.

So many islands to explore! Many tent platforms and thunder boxes on Franklin Island. Great for kayaker a/canoeists. Easy to circumnavigate the island. Beautiful!

This park is a jewel saved from being taken over by cottage expansion in the early 20th century. this area is very popular with campers and boaters and can be very busy on summer weekends. The park has many great experiences of short hikes from 1 to 6 hours, campgrounds vary from small to moderate in size and semi primitive... More

This is a beautiful spot but don't come on the weekend if you are looking for peace and quiet. We stayed 3 nights in an O-Tentik arriving Saturday afternoon. All Saturday we were treated to the noise of motorboats speeding up and down the water. At night we could not escape the loud music booming from the boats moored close... More

We rented one of the family cabins for two nights. There was 4 of us ages 3,39,41 and 60. It contains two bedrooms, a main room with seating and drinkable running water, enclosed porch, BBQ, fire pit with chairs and two outdoor picnic tables. It sleeps up to 5 and the cost includes the boat ride and parking. They park... More
