The wood and granite stone interior of the concert hall is not only visually impressive, it offers wonderful acoustics in a setting that mimics the natural geography of the area. Having attended three performances at the Stockey Centre, the ticket prices have been quite inexpensive compared to venues in larger urban areas. The staff were very polite and pleasant and... More

Attended Bruce Cockburn concert last night and was once again amazed by the great sound from this venue. It wasn't too tough either to sit outside on their patio before the concert and watch the sun start to set. With seats for only 500 people you get none of the elbowing and jostling that is a common experience at Toronto... More

The acoustics in the Centre are great! Went to a Christmas concert there - full house- and had an enjoyable evening.

Wide variety of mostly classical and choir vocal music during the Festival of the Sound. Marvellous construction on the shore of Georgian Bay with wonderful views.

What an amazing concert hall! We attended the Festival of Sound and were stunned quality of sound achieved in facility. Wood, exposed fieldstone, hard and soft surfaces all contribute to richness. Tried multiple seat options and loved the space totally. Guaranteed that we will be back next year.

They have such amazing voices. They sang a series of both Canadian and America folk tunes. The concert series is normally on the deck, but due to the chill they set them up inside the main hall. Not ideal acoustics, but they sounded great. The female vocalist has such a clear and vibrant voice, hard to believe this is her... More

Other than the beautiful water and environs, this is Parry Sound's treasure. An incredible, world-class concert hall awaits visitors where you may have least have expected it.

The “Well Tempered Klavier” is actually a sleek, shining, black Yamaha grand piano that graces the stage on the waterfront at the Charles W. Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts in Parry Sound, with sailboats on the water, seaplanes in the air and a huge CN trestle in the background to accommodate trains. The Centre embodies its Georgian Bay cottage... More
