We offer two and three-hour sightseeing cruises that bring passengers surprisingly up-close to the pristine beauty of Georgian Bay's remote island wilderness and the rustic charm of its grand summer cottages. Follow in the wake of early explorers as the captain steers the ship past granite shoals into narrow channels and shallow waterways exploring out-of-the-way places within the world's largest freshwater archipelago. The Island Queen is fully equipped with comfortable inside and outside seating, large viewing windows, outside observation decks, wheelchair accessible washrooms, a snack bar, a full commentary and heat for our fall colour cruises. Cruises depart daily from June 1 to mid-October each year from the town dock in Parry Sound, Ontario. « less

As I was in Parry Sound with my family, I was tempted to 'redo' the cruise again (my daughter wished so much to see for herself what I told her from my previous visit!) and it is still amazing! Everyone loved the cruise and, as afterthoughts, we are making plans to go back and explore further. The cruise enabled us... More

We took the three hour tour. Although the day was grey, I still really enjoyed the cruise through the beautiful islands. It was so interesting to see the wild islands, large and small - some with trees and some mostly rock. Also interesting to get a look at the cottages on some of the islands and see the people who... Dear passenger, Thank you so much for taking the time to review our cruise. Thank you for commenting on the islands and the weather - we've always felt that the islands are just as nice on a cloudy day as they are on a sunny day. There is a totally different feeling on the cruise when there is a bit... More

I rarely award a five out of five but this attraction merits it. Unless you have your own boat and the leisure time this is the best, by far, Georgian Bay cruise going; maybe the best scheduled tourism cruise in Ontario. The scenery is truly spectacular; you could just keep taking photographs the entire trip. The ship is big enough... More

I've been on this excursion 3 times now, and it's been excellent every time. Very professional staff, well thought-out travel route. Lots to see and take in. It's an afternoon well spent with friends and family. Cheers guys!

Dear Passenger, Thanks so much for reviewing our cruise and thanks for being a repeat customer! We're always amazed at how many repeat customers we see each and every year. People seem to come from far and wide to see Georgian Bay's islands and they love showing this unique area of the world to visiting friends and family. Thanks again. More

It’s a gigantic ski slalom course – but on water, not snow-laden slopes. And instead of flexible poles imbedded in the snow to zip around, Captains Steve Anderson and Keith Salt, both from Parry Sound, must arc around 30,000 Georgian Bay islands composed of Precambrian igneous and high-grade metamorphic rock, aka the Canadian Shield. Each jagged slab is capable of... More

a slow relaxing tour, 2 - 3 hours, through the majestic scenery of the 30,000 islands of Georgian Bay. Always a delight to be on the water. Great for couples and families. No licensed bar. Snack Bar. Able to move about on three levels. Open deck on top. Seating on all three decks.

To appreciate the natural beauty of Georgian Bay and island archipelago, do not miss this trip. They do 2 different cruises each day of different lengths and routes, the longest being 3 hours or so. The boat has snacks and drinks but no alcohol. Don't forget your camera!

Dear Passenger, Thank you so much for your review. A travel writer for the Toronto Star once wrote that "the Island Queen Cruise was a photographer's dream," so you're right, don't forget your camera! Thanks again for taking the time to write a review. More

A very special trip amongst the myriad little glacially carved islands of Parry Sound - such a different landscape than our home in Australia. So glad we chose this excursion, thanks to our Ontario friends

The scenery is the best.I've seen it many times but never tire of it.Shorter cruise best for young children.Very comfortable sail.Commentary good.Perhaps it is a little overpriced but then most attractions are these days.Crowd control would have been good at the end---some people in a hurry, creating havoc.

It was a very informative trip if you are interested in history. I would not recommend taking young kids along on a three hours cruise, it's long they get restless as beside water, island, rock for children there's not much. They need to see a way to include the children in such an event. I was happy that they did... More

Dear Passenger, Thanks for taking the time to write a review on our cruise. Many of our passengers have physical disabilities and while some are able to access the second and third decks via the stairs, others are not. We try to accommodate those who can't access the upper levels of the ship by ensuring that all amenities are on... More
