We offer two and three-hour sightseeing cruises that bring passengers surprisingly up-close to the pristine beauty of Georgian Bay's remote island wilderness and the rustic charm of its grand summer cottages. Follow in the wake of early explorers as the captain steers the ship past granite shoals into narrow channels and shallow waterways exploring out-of-the-way places within the world's largest freshwater archipelago. The Island Queen is fully equipped with comfortable inside and outside seating, large viewing windows, outside observation decks, wheelchair accessible washrooms, a snack bar, a full commentary and heat for our fall colour cruises. Cruises depart daily from June 1 to mid-October each year from the town dock in Parry Sound, Ontario. « less

We went on the 3 hour cruise which was great and the scenery was awesome, some of the tight fits the boat went through were cool. Georgian bay at its best. Satisfactory food on board, 3 decks to choose from with comfy seating on the mid deck, staff was great. Watch out for the ships horn if your up front... More

We have taken the Island Queen tour at least 3 times before today, but still marvel at both the windswept Georgian Bay island scenery and the skill of the crew in navigating ridiculously narrow passages with a such a large vessel. This tour is a must for local cottagers like us, and even more so for people visiting this part... More

Dear Passenger, Thank you so much for your review. You're right - our crew is amazing and very good at what they do. It always surprises passengers how narrow and shallow some of the channels are that we cruise through. Your tip to dress in layers is a good one. Thanks again. More

The Island Queen Cruise was great. We did the three hour cruise. I thought it might seem long but, not so. Enjoyed all the sites. Just enough recorded commentary to give you the highlights. I booked the tickets on line and picked them up at the ticket office in Parry Sound.

We have been on this nice cruise boat on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Cruise completed its tour all around the Perry Island. The nature is splendid. Killbear beach is amazing. The small islands are marvellous. Cruise boat flows between those islands beautifully. Only hiccup was the narrator. Too serious. He could make that trip more attractive if he would get... More

Georgian Bay inspired Artist, poets and other writers. The most famous being Canada's treasured painters, The Group of Seven. This area of Georgian Bay is now a world biosphere protected area and rightfully so. It is breathtakingly beautiful. Even if you have your power boat, kayak or canoe ..first go on the Island Queen before venturing out. The commentary is... More

Went to Parry Sound aboard the Island Queen.I liked the idea that the ship docked is feet away from the parking lot so you don't have too far in walking distance. We got our tickets inside the Island Queen gift shop/ticket sales. We had previously phoned in our reservations for the cruise. We boarded the ship and the captain tore off... More

We took the 3hr cruise and did not disappoint. If you like to be out in the sun for 3hrs, go to the top deck to get a full view of what the Sound, and cruise, has to offer! Don't forget the camera, you'll see nice spots, jagged rocks, pine-lined edges and beautiful scenes during the cruise. An NDFilter will... More

Dear Passenger, Thanks for taking the time to review our 3-hour cruise. A camera and sunscreen are great suggestions for future passengers, especially those wanting to sit on the top deck. Thank you for noticing the skill of our captain and first mate - they are very skilled at what they do! Thanks again. More

Did the three hour afternoon tour and was extremely pleased. A wonderful way to explore the outer islands of Georgian Bay and the Sound. A must do attraction when in the area.

We took the two hour morning cruise. The first hour or so was mostly along the shore line and we saw lots of ostentatious, trophy homes. It wasn't really what we had expected, this blight on the beauty of the islands. They are monstrosities, and it was a bit like a drive through the burbs. At the hour and 15... More
