We offer two and three-hour sightseeing cruises that bring passengers surprisingly up-close to the pristine beauty of Georgian Bay's remote island wilderness and the rustic charm of its grand summer cottages. Follow in the wake of early explorers as the captain steers the ship past granite shoals into narrow channels and shallow waterways exploring out-of-the-way places within the world's largest freshwater archipelago. The Island Queen is fully equipped with comfortable inside and outside seating, large viewing windows, outside observation decks, wheelchair accessible washrooms, a snack bar, a full commentary and heat for our fall colour cruises. Cruises depart daily from June 1 to mid-October each year from the town dock in Parry Sound, Ontario. « less

We have been on this nice cruise boat on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Cruise completed its tour all around the Perry Island. The nature is splendid. Killbear beach is amazing. The small islands are marvellous. Cruise boat flows between those islands beautifully. Only hiccup was the narrator. Too serious. He could make that trip more attractive if he would get... More

Georgian Bay inspired Artist, poets and other writers. The most famous being Canada's treasured painters, The Group of Seven. This area of Georgian Bay is now a world biosphere protected area and rightfully so. It is breathtakingly beautiful. Even if you have your power boat, kayak or canoe ..first go on the Island Queen before venturing out. The commentary is... More

Went to Parry Sound aboard the Island Queen.I liked the idea that the ship docked is feet away from the parking lot so you don't have too far in walking distance. We got our tickets inside the Island Queen gift shop/ticket sales. We had previously phoned in our reservations for the cruise. We boarded the ship and the captain tore off... More

Dear Passenger, Thanks for writing such a thoughtful review of our cruise. Thank you for mentioning the close proximity of our parking lot to the dock and how smooth the ship was. Lots of people don't recognize these features when commenting on their cruise experience but its often these types of things that make the experience that much better for... More

We took the 3hr cruise and did not disappoint. If you like to be out in the sun for 3hrs, go to the top deck to get a full view of what the Sound, and cruise, has to offer! Don't forget the camera, you'll see nice spots, jagged rocks, pine-lined edges and beautiful scenes during the cruise. An NDFilter will... More

Dear Passenger, Thanks for taking the time to review our 3-hour cruise. A camera and sunscreen are great suggestions for future passengers, especially those wanting to sit on the top deck. Thank you for noticing the skill of our captain and first mate - they are very skilled at what they do! Thanks again. More

Did the three hour afternoon tour and was extremely pleased. A wonderful way to explore the outer islands of Georgian Bay and the Sound. A must do attraction when in the area.

Dear Passenger, Thanks for visiting us and taking the time to comment on Trip Advisor. The outer islands of Georgian Bay's eastern shore are absolutely amazing. We are so blessed to have the islands as a backyard playground. Thanks again. More

We took the two hour morning cruise. The first hour or so was mostly along the shore line and we saw lots of ostentatious, trophy homes. It wasn't really what we had expected, this blight on the beauty of the islands. They are monstrosities, and it was a bit like a drive through the burbs. At the hour and 15... More

Dear Passenger, Thank you for taking the time to review our cruise. Our two-hour morning cruise definitely goes past quite of few beautiful summer retreats and while its not for everyone, there are a lot of people who love this feature of the tour. Once again, thank you for your review. More

We took the 3 hour boat excursion. Compared to the Gananaquque, not as good. Interaction with passengers not great. Communication poor & sparse. Food only average at best - inefficient service. Overall quite boring & would not go again. Allan Ball Toronto, Ontario

As I was in Parry Sound with my family, I was tempted to 'redo' the cruise again (my daughter wished so much to see for herself what I told her from my previous visit!) and it is still amazing! Everyone loved the cruise and, as afterthoughts, we are making plans to go back and explore further. The cruise enabled us... More

We took the three hour tour. Although the day was grey, I still really enjoyed the cruise through the beautiful islands. It was so interesting to see the wild islands, large and small - some with trees and some mostly rock. Also interesting to get a look at the cottages on some of the islands and see the people who... Dear passenger, Thank you so much for taking the time to review our cruise. Thank you for commenting on the islands and the weather - we've always felt that the islands are just as nice on a cloudy day as they are on a sunny day. There is a totally different feeling on the cruise when there is a bit... More
