Description: Enjoy a captain's-eye view of Georgian Bay's 30,000 Islands Biosphere...
Enjoy a captain's-eye view of Georgian Bay's 30,000 Islands Biosphere Reserve aboard the 550-passenger Island Queen. We offer two and three-hour sightseeing cruises that bring passengers surprisingly up-close to the pristine beauty of Georgian Bay's remote island wilderness and the rustic charm of its grand summer cottages. Follow in the wake of early explorers as the captain steers the ship past granite shoals into narrow channels and shallow waterways exploring out-of-the-way places within the world's largest freshwater archipelago. The Island Queen is fully equipped with comfortable inside and outside seating, large viewing windows, outside observation decks, wheelchair accessible washrooms, a snack bar, a full commentary and heat for our fall colour cruises. Cruises depart daily from June 1 to mid-October each year from the town dock in Parry Sound, Ontario.

Took the morning cruise this am and it was wonderful. Lots to look at and already looking forward to doing an afternoon cruise in the future and seeing more of the land. The commentary was clear and loud. Would be nice if the staff would tell you each island as you pass it. We did have a map but looking... More

I have been on this boat tour twice and highly recommend it. The sights are amazing. It's a good idea to reserve a spot because it fills up quick. The long 3 hour afternoon cruise is what we did. The boat maneuvers through some very narrow channels. Amazing place to visit.

This is one of the best cruise in Ontario. we have taken the afternoon 3 hours cruise, the natural views of the Georgian bay and the islands was really great, its large cruise has 3 floors and was not full, we had taken a wonderful pictures for all the places, you can pick the cruise route map from the tickets... Dear Passenger, Thanks so much for reviewing us! We appreciate the kind words. We talk to a lot of people who come from Toronto to Parry Sound for the day just to take the cruise. It really does make for a great day. Thanks again. More

I loved this Georgian bay as the cruise should shipwrecks and many land marks. My favourite part of this cruise was the 2 mile narrows.

Most of the cruises I took in the past were boring, but this one….. It’s not! Very relaxing and comfortable on this boat and it is a great way to see the islands. Learned a lot about Georgian Bay.

We took a 3-hour cruise in September on the Island Queen, and it's one of the highlights of our trip around Georgian Bay. The tour is narrated, but they don't try to be funny and they don't talk non-stop. Just enough information to let you know where you are, including a little history. I imagine the boat is quite crowded... More

We took this 3-hour cruise on a cloudy/rainy day. You can choose another day if you want if weather is not favourable but we decided to go ahead. It did not disappoint us! The islands were great...and the houses/cottages on them! This cruise may inspire you to take another vacation on one of these islands!

Dear Passenger, Thanks so much for your kind review. People are often hesitant to take the cruise on a rainy day or an overcast day but it is quite beautiful among the islands on those days. Thanks for joining us on the tour. More

The three hour cruise was a very informative and stunning tour around the sound and it's many features. The boat is quite large, but with reasonable facilities and a small cafe. You can follow your progress on a computer screen or the several large scale maps displayed on the inside deck.

We went on the 3 hour cruise which was great and the scenery was awesome, some of the tight fits the boat went through were cool. Georgian bay at its best. Satisfactory food on board, 3 decks to choose from with comfy seating on the mid deck, staff was great. Watch out for the ships horn if your up front... More

We have taken the Island Queen tour at least 3 times before today, but still marvel at both the windswept Georgian Bay island scenery and the skill of the crew in navigating ridiculously narrow passages with a such a large vessel. This tour is a must for local cottagers like us, and even more so for people visiting this part... More

Dear Passenger, Thank you so much for your review. You're right - our crew is amazing and very good at what they do. It always surprises passengers how narrow and shallow some of the channels are that we cruise through. Your tip to dress in layers is a good one. Thanks again. More
