We were totally blown away at how awesome our tour was. It was exciting the entire six hour trip- never a full moment and totally satisfied our quest for adventure! We were happy to be there while there was snow on the ground- made the mountain trek to and from the cave even more interesting! Both my boyfriend and I... More

This cave tour was really great. Our guide Claire was super knowledgeable about the cave and everything in it and had lots of great stories. I felt very comfortable for my first time caving, even through several VERY tight spots we had to crawl through. Going with a little bit smaller group was nice because there wasn't as much waiting... Before you sign up, ask yourself : am I willing to go through very tight spaces, rappel down a dark cave, get dirty, inhale dust and hold your pee for four hours? You need a little courage and some thirst for adventure for this activity as this is definitely not a sightseeing tour. The group ahead of us had a... More

OK, you don't have to get dirty, but it's much more fun if you go through the squeezes and get a little messy! You get coveralls and gloves for a reason - don't be afraid to use them. Overall it's a very cool experience and highly recommended, but please, please, please don't do it if you aren't in semi-respectable shape... More

This is no lazy walk in the park. Although I am 60 yrs old I am always ready for new adventures. Hike for 20 minutes up a mountain to the cave entrance then descend, not walk, into Rats Nest Cave. Some snug squeezes and skidding on your bum gradually gets your down 55 metres into the lower part of the... More

For someone who is somewhat claustrophobic and definitely afraid of heights, I went into this with some apprehension. But our guide made me feel so comfortable, even during a 60 foot rappel into the "rat hole" and crawling through tight tunnels. Definitely moderately physically demanding, but doable and so much fun to see this other world. The sights and sensations... More

Went on cave tours late August. Had two very nice guides that were trained well. I went alone with my three children 11, 17 and 15 yrs. I would suggest 12 and up, although my son enjoyed himself. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and would definitely do this again, it's amazing to see. Beautiful sites around Canmore as well.

The staff here made this experience exceptional and however scared or upset, they will take care of you. Diana was truly patient with my fear of heights and my wife's fear of confined spaces, she took her time and helped us through each step. We tried the explorer and it was an experience I will never forget. Many thanks for... More

Absolutely amazing. Our guide "The Teacher" was one of the best quite I have ever had for anything. And I must say 15 second turnaround time in the challenge squeeze was unreal. We will be back for many years to come.

Rat Nest Cave though the name is not attractive it does not imply a cave full of rats . The tour begins with a short 30min hike to cave with super knowledgeable guide talking about the ecology of the area and rock formations. The cave is magnificent ! Untouched, undisturbed . It is like exploring another world! Highly recommend it!
