we were in Canmore 1 week ago, got to golf at Steward Creek on its opening day. The set up is scenic but the green was in poor condition. Fortunately our green fees was only $79 +GST with a power cart, otherwise it would have been a great disappointment. The service at the golf course was very nice. Staff were... More

We were at Stewart Creek for a friend's reception and were blown away at the quality and diversity of the meal. The location was beautiful and the ambiance wonderful. More

We decided to go to Canmore for our yearly week long golf trip. We( 8 of us, mature professional men ) booked the Stewart Creek course for an early morning round. Upon arrival we were pleased with the staff, and looked forward to a relaxing morning round. We got to the 1st hole, met by the Marshall. He explained the... More

Having lived in the Calgary area for years and having played almost all of the mountain courses in the area several times, Stewart Creek was the last one on my list to play. Course conditions this day were poor. Most of the greens were very thin and unhealthy and as a result, even soft spikes were making quite a mess... More

We played Stewart Creek in August 2009 on our annual golf trip. Unfortunately, when we got there, we found out that a few of their greens had a fungus, so they were in terrible shape and basically unputtable. Instead of offering a refund, they offered a $20 credit to their pro shop, where you can basically buy a sleeve of... More

This is a nice course but no where near the $200 fee they charge for guests. Take away the mountains and you have a pretty average course. Five hour round and we never saw a ranger. Didn't bother to change the pins midday even when the greens got ratty around the holes. No beverage cart. Bathrooms few and far between.... More

This is the finest golf course I have ever played. It is surrounded by thousands of trees and mountains. The layout is excellent, with several challenging holes. It is amazing that the course was in such great shape, considering the rough weather of the area. It is a little expensive, but well worth it. More

I did not really know much about this course before a trip to Banff, but what a fantastic surprise. The course layout, amongst the hills, pine trees and old mine entrances is a delight, with a variety of holes ranging from pretty challenging to fairly straightforward. The course was in excellent condition, with a nice practice area. Views of the... More
