Golf on the Roof of the World - When the game of golf is played on a course carved out of original Rocky Mountain terrain, something fundamental changes. There is a mystery built in. Not just the practical question of where the ball will land, but how will you ever return to urban golf after a magical mountain golfing experience like the one at Silvertip. Designed by world renowned architect Les Furber, the course plays from an approachable 5,089 yards to an awesome championship 7,173 yards, with over 600 feet of elevation change, making it the single most breathtaking mountain course in the world for literally any level of play.

We went there for a wedding. Pathways to the outdoor wedding area were gravel. High heals would have been wrecked. Bring walking shoes. It rained so the wedding was moved inside. The food was very good. The wait staff were very nice.

I've played in a lot of coutnries around the world and Silvertip beats them all.. Much more difficult and more variety that the boring Banff Springs golf course.. For a mountain course it doesn't get any better.. Price is ridiculously high but they all are in the area. So poor me won't be playing here too much but its a... More

I actually played this course not long after they opened in July of 2003 and I have periodically checked around about itt o see how it has developed. I could tell it could quite likely become one of Canada's top courses and clearly it has. Stunning is all I can say. My wife, a non-golfer, actually accompanied me on my... More

Several choices for $12; everyone in our party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Service was great; beautiful view of the golf course; quiet, casual & cozy atmosphere.

Alpine golf at its best. Fantastic views every hole. Course was in great condition considering there was snow the night before. Some great holes. Good choice of tee boxes means players of all ability can enjoy the experience. Be warned.....only open from May t end if Sept. Oh......we saw a black bear on fairway!!!! Bonus

You have to go!! Sweet track. Elevation changes dominate the beautiful golf course. Reasonable prices and a pleasant staff made this visit a win. Vistas of the Rockies abound here. It's hard not to enjoy these views while having a few pops and making a birdie or two. I WILL play the course again.

I was fortunate enough to play this stunning layout on 25th sept 2014 just before they close for the season. I have played in quite a few countries and every top rated course in Scotland, and some of the best English courses also. Perhaps the best compliment would be, this course even knocks the famous Loch Lomond out the park... More

We got married here in early September as well as had our rehearsal dinner at the streak house. The venue and staff were incredible. The outdoor ceremony spot had some of the most beautiful views we had seen in the mountains. The pavilion room where the reception was help was so breathtaking on its own that little decor was needed.... More

Interesting driving range - you hit into the mountainside! The course is very scenic. Make sure that the staff have fully charged golf carts for you - you definitely don't want to get stranded!
